Moving around the Villa Devoto prison, I left an incendiary device, which after a few minutes ignited and fulfilled its intended purpose, under a vehicle used to transport prisoners.
The event occurred on Sunday, May 7, 2023 in the early morning, after 3 o’clock, in Pedro Lozano corner Bermudez, Villa Devoto, Buenos Aires.

First-degree sentence of the Diamante trial (Genoa, Italy, July 5, 2023)
The first-degree sentence of the Diamante trial against anarchist comrades Evelin and Gianluca (arrested on March 16th, 2022) was read out today, July 5th, at the Genoa court. Evelin was acquitted of all accusations and Gianluca was convicted to 4 years and 6 months of prison (plus a fine of 15,000 euro) for ‘illegal possession of explosives’ (art. 1 and 2 of law 895/67) and ‘attempted crime’ (art. 56 c. p., Italian criminal code), while he was acquitted of the accusation of ‘manufacture or possession of explosive materials with the purpose of endangering public safety’ (art. 435 c. p.). The comrades were not tried under the ‘aggravating circumstance of the purpose of terrorism or subversion of the democratic order’ (in relation to art. 270 bis 1 c. p.) because for this aggravating circumstance, present during the investigation phase, there had been no indictment for trial. The prosecutor’s requests had been for 5 years and 6 months (plus a fine of 15,000 euro) for Evelin and 9 years and 6 months (plus 30,000 euro) for Gianluca. We recall that the latter is still under house arrest with all restrictions (prohibition of meetings with persons other than close family members, prohibition of communication and exit permits, etc.). The Fire Cells Conspiracy revolutionary organization didn’t begin its activity from out of nowhere. It wasn’t as if a straight line had cut through space and time. It was a future crying out from the past. The Conspiracy comprised a collective synthesis, connecting the backgrounds and viewpoints of all who participated in it and drawing valuable conclusions from past experiences of subversive projects and attacks we took part in.
It represented our desire to take a step further, not to climb some ladder of informal hierarchy that fetishizes violence and its methods, but to simply advance, move forward, and explore new perspectives, making the shift from a “bunch of friends” to an organization, from the sporadic to the consistent, from the spontaneous to the strategic.
Along the way, we assumed a critical stance toward the past, but we never went out of our way to be hostile. We are anarchy’s misfits, born from its potent moments and gaping voids. Additionally, the goal of critique and self-critique is not to put an end to something, but just the opposite: it’s an aspiration to evolve something. The fact that we’re not going to elaborate a corresponding critical review right now doesn’t mean we’re afraid to recognize our mistakes. Rather, it’s because that kind of examination is better served by distance and cool nerves than by impulse.
During no phase of our brief, intense history did we lose our collective memory of the anarchist milieu we come from. We also feel we discovered something we have in common with comrades who began the struggle before us, engaged in their own battles, were arrested and imprisoned, but never lowered their heads. We discovered the unrepentant passion for revolution that connects histories and realities of struggle from different decades in a shared context of individual and collective liberation.
In that context, we forged our own alphabet. Speaking the language of direct action, we openly raised the issue of creating organized infrastructure. As anarchists, we often distance ourselves from the concept of organization because we equate it with hierarchy, roles, specialization, “you must,” and obligations. In the early morning hours of Friday 30/06 we carried out incendiary attacks on vans belonging to the companies “Kotsovolos” and “Ena”. Companies like these and many other capitalist companies are pillars of the capitalist system.
They are places where workers are exploited and exploited by the bosses. All these supply and non-supply chain giants have in recent years been generating frighteningly large excess profits through obscenity and the fleecing of workers. The anti-labour laws of the last few years combined with the lockdown in the midst of a pandemic (a period of time when large businesses remained open on the backs of the workers) is proof of the advantage the big bosses have over the state.
At a time when the lower social strata are being mercilessly attacked by the state-capital-patriarchy, in the conditions of the attempt to impose totalitarian neoliberal tobaccoism and the extreme right in our lives, we have to build mounds of collective resistance and solidarity and return a part of the violence we receive from the power. We must not get used to the brutality of state murders of migrants and employer murders in the workplace sweatshops; we must resist the state’s revenge against the imprisoned militants.
We dedicate these actions to the memory of the 17 year old Nael M. murdered by the French state and to the rebels of France.

Three police vehicles vandalized, and several police motorcycles were set on fire overnight.
Officers were dispatched around 1 a.m. to 890 Memorial Drive regarding damage to vehicles.
Upon arrival, they discovered three APD vehicles with broken windows. The Path Force Unit is located at that address.
Atlanta Fire and Rescue responded to a multi-vehicle fire inside a parking deck at 180 Southside Industrial Parkway around 2:20 a.m.
Several motorcycles were set on fire inside a parking deck near the Atlanta Police Training Academy on Southside Industrial Parkway.

On July 5th, the court of Genoa will hold the hearing for the sentence in the trial against anarchists Gianluca and Evelin, who were arrested on March 16th, 2022, within the Diamante investigation and charged with fabrication and possession of explosive and explosive material. During the hearings on June 7th and 8th, the prosecutor requested a sentence of 9 years and 6 months (plus a fine of 30,000 euros) for Gianluca and 5 years and 6 months (plus 15,000 euros) for Evelin. We recall that Gianluca — who is also under investigation in the Sibilla proceeding against the anarchist paper ‘Vetriolo’ — is still under house arrest with all the restrictions for the Diamante trial (the comrades were transferred to house arrest after a period of imprisonment in Rome’s Rebibbia prison), while Evelin was released in April 2022 following the re-examination hearing on the precautionary measures.

On July 5th, the first-degree verdict of the ‘Diamante’ trial involving anarchist comrades Evelin and Gianluca as defendants will be handed down at the Genoa court. We will be there for a warm greeting to them and to renew our hatred against the State and the judiciary.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 5th, 2023, 9 A.M., IN FRONT OF THE COURT OF GENOA.
While waiting for a more detailed text about the hearing, we inform that on June 26th, the Turin court of assizes of appeal established the extent of the convictions against anarchists Anna Beniamino and Alfredo Cospito in the Scripta Manent trial, sentencing them to 17 years and 9 months and 23 years respectively. Therefore, the possibility of a life sentence for Alfredo (and 27 years and 1 month for Anna), requested by the Turin public prosecutor’s office during the appeal hearing of December 5th, 2022, and later on June 19th and 26th, was definitively ruled out.
We remind that during the Scripta Manent trial — in addition to accusations of subversive association with the purpose of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order, attack with terrorist purposes, incitement to commit crimes aggravated by the purpose of terrorism, etc. — several accusations and convictions for massacre followed against Anna and Alfredo, first for the action in the bourgeois district of Crocetta (Turin, 2007) and later for the action against Caserma Allievi Carabinieri (Cadets of Carabinieri Barracks, Fossano, 2006). With the requalification by the court of cassation (July 6th, 2022) of the conviction for massacre against public safety (art. 422 of the Italian penal code) into massacre against State security (art. 285 of the penal code), the comrade risked a life sentence due to the prevalence of repeated recidivism over mitigating circumstances. The legislation that established the mandatory life sentence was subsequently amended by the constitutional court with the hearing on April 18th: not a “victory” for the rule of law or a “return” to the principles of the constitution, but a result achieved by the hunger strike against 41 bis prison regime and life imprisonment without possibility of parole and the international solidarity movement that developed between May 2022 and April 2023.

The night of Wednesday June 28 to Thursday June 29 was marked by major tension and damage in many Paris suburbs, with urban violence spreading to other French cities such as Toulouse and Lyon, following the death in Nanterre of Nahel M., a 17-year-old teenager killed by a police officer for refusing to obey orders.
Although calm in the early evening, the situation then became tense in the Hauts-de-Seine suburb, already the scene of clashes between residents and police during the night. More than a dozen cars and dumpsters were set on fire, and barriers were placed on the road, as Le Monde journalists observed. The walls of one building were tagged with the words “Justice for Nahel” and “Police kills”.
At 2 a.m., small, highly mobile groups were still clashing in the Pablo-Picasso district. Police forces had withdrawn and were no longer visible in a part of the housing estate that had come under the complete control of the rioters. The fire department has also retreated, according to our local reporter Luc Bronner.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin had announced the mobilization of 2,000 police and gendarmes in Paris and its inner suburbs for Wednesday evening, 800 more than last night.
Incidents were also reported in several towns in the Hauts-de-Seine district. In Clamart, a tramway train was set on fire, according to a police source.
Around twenty communes in Seine-Saint-Denis reported incidents, according to a police source, sometimes in normally quiet towns such as Dugny. According to this source, each time there were groups of less than a hundred highly mobile people on the scene. The Préfecture de Police reported 35 arrests shortly before 2 a.m.
In Essonne, a group of people set fire to a bus at around 9 p.m. after removing the passengers in Viry-Châtillon, according to police sources. Clashes also broke out shortly after 8 p.m. in the Mirail district of Toulouse, where several vehicles were set on fire, with police and firefighters receiving projectiles, according to a police source.
In several areas of Dijon, the authorities reported the burning of rubbish dumpsters and the firing of fireworks. In Lyon and the surrounding area, as well as in Vénissieux, Bron and Villeurbanne, the police were targeted by firework mortars. A fire probably caused by pyrotechnic fireworks broke out in a building in Villeurbanne, leaving four people slightly injured, the fire department said. “Some apartments” were destroyed by the fire and ten households, or 35 people, were rehoused. Four people were also hospitalized with mild poisoning. In Vaulx-en-Velin, the police station was targeted before the police intervened.
Elsewhere, tensions were reported in Roubaix (Nord), Amiens and Nice, according to a police source. Some incidents, as in Saint-Etienne, Lille and Rennes, took place on the edges of rallies in support of Soulèvements de la Terre, the recently disbanded environmental movement.
The security post at the entrance to the Fresnes prison estate (Val-de-Marne) was attacked with fireworks by rioters on Wednesday night, Agence France-Presse (AFP) learnt from a police source.
Videos consulted by AFP show around twenty hooded youths attacking the guard post at the entrance to the estate with firework mortars and various projectiles.

When the state imprisons people, they disappear us. The whole process of becoming a prisoner is designed to strip the person of their personal autonomy. Individuality is something that must be removed and replaced with complete conformity, implemented through the oppressive control and restrictions of the prison environment. From the prison issue clothing, the degrading, routine searching of the person, to the uniform design of the cells, people are transformed by this state dominance into products to be handled within the warehouses that are prisons.
When the prisons disappear people, they segregate us. The restrictions and conditions are so much more severe than anywhere else within the Segregation Units of the High Security Prisons of the men’s prison estate. Deliberately so: intended to break the spirit of the men who, for various reasons, find ourselves detained within these punishment blocks.
These environments inflict solitary confinement upon their victims, often for an indefinite period of time. It can mean more than 22-hours a day locked in a cell in isolation and kept separated from all other prisoners during the brieftime allowed to shower and/or get locked in a cage outside like an animal for ‘exercise’ – and, in my case, it has continued for 13-years so far. Remember how it felt to have to stay at home during the Covid lockdown? Imagine how many more restrictions you could have survived, yet we must endure within segregation daily.
It would not be permissible to keep an animal in places like these, and there would be total outrage if a woman were to suffer such mistreatment, but men are seen culturally as tougher and much more deserving of this brutal inhumanity. From personal experience, I can confirm this differentiation of the sexes that comes through the bad politics of the chauvinistic and anti feminist approach – which portrays women as ‘damsels in distress’ in need of help, and men as warriors capable of toughness only seen in the ‘stronger sex’ – is absolute nonsense (and it is this concept that sets the foundation for the perpetuation of the culture of toxic masculinity and misogyny that this country is drowning in).
