Santiago, Chile: Responsibility claim for bus set on fire outside the Ex-pedagógico (UMCE) and armed confrontation with special forces of the carabineros

Posted on 2023/01/13 - 2023/01/13 by darknights

Note: The events that are claimed below happened on November 4 of last year, and their late date is explained by the fact that, in the words of the comrades themselves, it is “to be able to remember it with the aroma of the passing of time and to begin a new year of subversion and explosions.”

(Received at informativoanarquista@riseup.net)

Santiago, Chile: Bus set on fire outside the Ex-pedagógico (UMCE) and armed confrontation against special forces of carabineros for the iconoclastic memory of Kevin Garrido and in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito and the comrades of the Susaron Case. (04/11/2022).

“We speak of a new war, a new partisan war. Without front or uniform, without army or decisive battle. A war in which the focal points are deployed far from the mercantile flows, although they are connected to them. We speak of a totally latent war. That has time. Of a war of position. Which is being waged where we are. In the name of no one. In the name of our own existence, which has no name” (How to do? Tiqqun).

About the action.

During a quiet and bohemian Friday afternoon at the Ex Pedagógico, while the citizen/student mass lives its lethargic and alienated youthful fun, a violent direct action took place. This action is framed within the so-called “Black November”, where it is informally called to commemorate the life and death of comrade Kevin Garrido through the violent, diffuse and multiform attack. The action begins with our exit through the front of the university to proceed to cut off vehicular traffic in the area. We set up a barricade of tires and debris that we lit at the moment of intercepting a public transport bus. Our intention was to cross the bus horizontally to the street in order to cut off all traffic, however the driver of the vehicle blocked its driving, so we proceeded to set it on fire at the place of its interception with accelerating liquids. Without intending to harm the mass of citizens, we were constantly rebuked and repudiated for this action. We did not care and we responded verbally to their desperate insults and we were attentive to any onslaught that could emerge from any individual-citizen-cop with a craving for civil heroism, we shit on those people who, upon seeing armed comrades, dare to insult them, believing themselves -imbecilically- untouchable, voluntarily putting their physical integrity at risk in front of us. After this eventful moment, we entered the campus to wait for the police deployment and to receive it with all our strength: thunderous gunshots and a rain of Molotov cocktails hit the bodies of the squad of henchmen who naively took cover on the corner of Juan Gómez Millas street while the armored cars crossed the street. They clearly did not expect our means of attack to put their miserable lives at risk, which left a couple of policemen on the ground (apparently wounded by the shots) and provoked an almost immediate response: they shot at us with their service weapons and gassed the entire area of the front gate. After this counterattack, we used and unloaded all our material and disappeared fleetingly from the place.

Motivations.

This action -as we mentioned before- is part of the international campaign for a Black November in memory of the savage iconoclast Kevin Garrido, 4 years after his murder in the Santiago 1 prison. It is also a blow to the gears of capital that subject all forms of life to a lethargy of normality/passivity typical of a counterinsurgent period catalyzed by the democratic mechanisms of a social democratic government that has established an atmosphere of post-transition.

We abhor this reality and have no hope of reforming it, whether for democratic or “revolutionary” ends, so we attack it. Besides, hope (even the “hope of revolution”) is just that: hope. We do not hope. We attack… “when hope dies, action begins” (Beyond Hope, Derrick Jensen). Let those who still believe in social and human redemption wait while their social bases are camouflaged according to the dictates of the government of the day. We no longer believe. We do not even believe in the Social Revolution that the prophets of anarchy occupy to embellish their babbling tongues and project a false image on the depressing reality of this world. We deny it. “The idea of “progress” is central to the modern Western paradigm in which the assumption that the whole world is moving towards an ever better future predominates. The idea of the inevitability or possibility of a global libertarian future arises from that belief” (“Desert”, anonymous). We leave theoretical fables for the masturbatory leisure of academics. We are not part of any revolutionary tradition that dictates and imposes our practical work. Our action is Pleasure through destruction. We live our anarchy today and not in a “revolutionary” tomorrow.

Perhaps a burned bus, a few Molotovs and a couple of bullets will not put an end to domination. However, we prefer to contribute decisively to its destruction without any consequences. Our freedom is found in the attack, because it is only when we untie the chains of morality and the servitude of capital and decide to take action, that we conquer that freedom of which the old and dusty philosophy books talk so much. Germany: ‘Solidarity with Alfredo – beyond all walls!’ – Thomas Meyer-Falk

Posted on 2023/01/13 - 2023/01/13 by darknights

Alfredo Cospito is in prison in Sardinia under the prison regime “41-bis” and is kept in strict isolation. He defends himself against the prison conditions with a hunger strike, stakes his life for the protest against the inhuman prison conditions.

No visits (with the exception of relatives), books are not allowed to be sent to him, no access to newspapers – and he is no longer allowed to write articles. Thrown back completely to purely physical existence, ultimately at the mercy of mental death.

The intensification of his imprisonment goes back to a decision of the Court of Cassation, which considered a bomb attack in 2006, in which no one was killed or injured, as a completed political assassination and, since Alfredo showed no remorse, sentenced him to life imprisonment under the infamous “41-to” article of the penal code.

That here the state takes revenge on an unbowed anarchist and activist, who did not let himself be broken even during the years in prison, is obvious. Friedrich Nietzsche once wrote very clear-sightedly:

“Punishment is the name of revenge itself: with a lying word it feigns a good conscience” (from Thus Spoke Zarathustra).

Life imprisonment is itself a form of hidden physical death penalty, but subjecting people to further isolation extends the spectrum of the execution of revenge to the psychological, the spiritual level. Humans need more than something to eat and to drink to survive! The human relations are essential to be able to live. But locked up in the bare cell, almost no human contacts, no access to books and other things, all this can and should, according to the logic of justice, break people. Revenge in its purest form!

Alfredo fights against this with his means and possibilities. He does not physically attack prison staff, no, he stakes his own life! He starves! And starves! And starves!

Solidarity with Alfredo!

Abolish the “41-bis”!

The other night we decided to hammer a BPER ATM and an Amazon pickup point.

A small gesture of solidarity with Alfredo on hunger strike since October 20 against 41bis and hostile life imprisonment. Solidarity with Thanos, Ivan, Juan, Anna, Toby and all revolutionary prisoners and anyone behind bars.

Against every jail and border. For freedom, for anarchy.

Lugano, Switzerland: Claim of incendiary attack on a university van in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito

Posted on 2023/01/13 by darknights

In the early hours of Tuesday, January 10, far from assembly fanfare, a van at the University of Lugano was attacked with fire in solidarity with fellow anarchist Alfredo Cospito who has been on hunger strike for 83 days.

The choice of the faculty was not accidental, in fact the complex that was attacked houses classrooms and offices of the Faculty of Computer Science (www.inf.usi.ch) of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences (www.biomed.usi.ch/it), the Department of Innovative Technologies of SUPSI (www.supsi.ch/dti/) and the Dalle Molle Institute of Artificial Intelligence Studies (IDSIA)(www.idsia.ch).

Against the increasingly deadly future proposed by society and civilization, the only viable path is that of attack.

Strength Thanos Chatziangelou
Strength Ivan Alocco
Strength to all imprisoned Anarchists and imprisoned revolutionary fighters

A warm greeting to those who find themselves birds of the forest
May this little hearth warm you

Long live Anarchy
Long live the Black International
Death to the technoworld

Athens, Greece: Incendiary attack against machinery at a metro construction site in solidarity with Thanos Chatziangelou and Alfredo Cospito

Posted on 2023/01/13 by darknights

On Monday, December 26, we set fire to 2 construction machines used at the construction site for the new metro line in May Day Square.

As soon as the time changed, we attacked the metro machines on Vikou Avenue in Galati. We realized that in the intense humidity in the air, there was a possibility of failure of the action. In any case, we decided to take the risk and the result was that 3 project machines were completely destroyed and probably some more were damaged, which was a positive thing for us.

What happened will in no way stop work on the metro, but it did result in 5 damaged machines which caused a good financial loss and sent a message of resistance. Perhaps our action caused a slight delay in the work process, but we will always prefer action to simply being a spectator to the absurd and sad reality.

It was easy to choose the target, not only for what it represents as a symbol but also for the practical use it contributes to the normalcy of cities. The subway, urban development works, bulldozers and other machinery are only an illustration of gentrification, progress, modernization, the destruction of nature and the imposition of the techno-industrial system. Hamburg, Germany: Responsibility claim for the arson attack on a truck of the company Strabag in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito and the fighters in Lützerath

Posted on 2023/01/12 - 2023/01/14 by darknights

January 5, 2023

In memory of the hunger-striking anarchist Alfredo Cospito we set fire to trucks of Strabag in the Schanze on the night of Jan. 5.
Strabag does not only build jails. At least since the struggle for the Dannenröder forest, they have also often been the target of attacks because they actively destroy nature. Our fire should also give strength to those fighting in and around Lützerath. Day X has already been proclaimed.

“We are in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, who has been on hunger strike since October 20, 2022 against his imprisonment in the 41-bis isolation regime and against life imprisonment without option of release. Alfredo’s detention conditions at the moment are slightly better than the previous weeks. He has lost a lot of weight and his health is relatively stable, but could become critical at any time. Two other prisoners in Italy, Anna and Juan have been on prolonged solidarity hunger strikes and Ivan Alocco, a prisoner in France is also supporting Alfredo through hunger strike. Toby Shone, who is in jail in England, is also supporting Alfredo by refusing to eat several days a week. (DN Note: Now out of Parc prison, under strict conditions, in a ‘semi-open’ detention structure.)

We are also in solidarity with Thanos Chatziangelou of the Anarchist Action organization, who was illegally transferred from Korydallos to Nigrita prison in Serres on Dec. 19. Thanos started a hunger and thirst strike that day. The comrade is involved in the recent mobilizations in prisons in Greece against the new harsh laws that are currently taking place in many places and in which many prisoners have participated in recent months. Greece: We are all comrades: Support the 4 persecuted anarchists EN/GR/FR/ES/DE

Posted on 2023/01/08 - 2023/01/08 by darknights

Support economically and politically the 4 persecuted comrades, who are under trial at 6 February 2023. The 4 anarchists are being persecuted, under “anti-terrorist” law, for participating in an allegedelly “terrorist” organization named “comrades”. No one alone against the state! International revolutionary solidarity!

The first solidarity banner for the 4 comrades, Exarcheia 10th March 2020. Banner, “In a world that human relationships are being criminalized, we are all comrades”

Chronicle of the prosecution

On March 8th and 9th 2020, after a state security operation three male and one female comrade are arrested. Τhe authorities’ sole piece of evidence was two cops having ‘visually’ identified the first arrested person on a video of the attack against the Mitsotakis* Foundation. The other three were arrested due to their friendly and comrade relationships. They now find themselves charged with an enormous case file which includes 55 attacks.

Based on the anti-terrorist Act 187A, they are charged with setting up and participating in an alleged terrorist organization under the name of “comrades” . The authorities are prosecuting the comrades based on attacks, actions and public addresses uploaded on counter-information platforms which had been signed using the term “comrades”. In this way, the police are attempting to bring any political action signed by “comrades” together under the umbrella of a collective terrorist organization.

A few words on the construct of the organization “comrades”, from the statement of the prosecuted female comrade in May 2020: /… / Behold then, the State, in its attempt to sell the ideological construct of “war against terrorism” fabricating organizations. They claim the terrorist organization they created by the name “comrades” to be a group that has acted since 2016 up to the present carrying out attacks in Athens. This reasoning goes beyond normality or reality in a way that can only be called ridiculous. In fact, the name of this infamous organization is but a sign-off used by the broader spectrum of anarchist/ antiauthoritarian groups for many years now. It was used, it is still being used and it will continue to be used. Anyone who searches can find hundreds of texts bearing the said signature all over Greece, most probably even abroad. This new stratagem, the use, that is, of a broader signature and its conversion into the name of a terrorist organization, is unprecedented and its only aim can be to “lump” together a wide, diverse and multi-faceted range of action on the part of the broader antiauthoritarian movement, as well as to terrorize all who belong there. It´s now the turn of the “solidary”, the “anarchists”, the “communists” to be called terrorist organizations and there’s no end to the lumping /…/ Continue reading “Greece: We are all comrades: Support the 4 persecuted anarchists EN/GR/FR/ES/DE” →

Greece: ‘To break the codes of repression’, Financial support for court expenses of comrade Kostas K. EN/GR

Posted on 2023/01/08 by darknights

Back in the distant 2007, at a time of underlying and subtle social processes that would culminate in the December 2008 uprising, the authorities were looking after one of their favourite children. George Voulgarakis, a member of the deepest party-apparatus of New Democracy and Minister of Public Order, is caught up in the maelstrom of phone tapping scandals and ‘disappearances’ of Pakistani migrants and refugees. The state, however, always takes care of its children and Voulgarakis goes on “vacation”, away from the “hot potato” of the Ministry of Public Order, taking over the “loose” Ministry of Culture.

But some people do not forget and do not forgive. At 10:00am on July 3, 2007, a few hours after Voulgarakis and his police escort arrived at the ministry on Bouboulinas Street, they were attacked by a group of twenty comrades, with Molotov cocktails and a bag full of gasoline canisters and camping gas canisters, that fell into Voulgarakis’ own vehicle. The policemen open fire on the comrades, only thus managing to make them retreat.

In the text in which they claimed responsibility, they state:

“The attack on Culture Minister G. Voulgarakis was carried out as a sign of solidarity with the imprisoned militants. The Minister of Culture was chosen because a representative of the government is always a target of militants, let alone when he has served as Minister of Public Order and his term of office has remained unforgettable. He was the political head of the Ministry of Order when he intercepted and monitored the conversations of hundreds of citizens through vodafone. He was the political head of the Ministry of Order and responsible for the abduction and interrogation of dozens of Pakistani migrants. Finally, under the orders of Voulgarakis and on the occasion of the robbery of the National Bank in January 2006, for which Yannis Dimitrakis is on trial on 6 July, the anti-authoritarian movement was subjected to one of the most furious assaults of recent years with pogroms, kidnappings, slander, smears and finally prosecutions of anarchists. Freedom to those imprisoned in the cells. Solidarity to all persecuted comrades. As for their shooting, deliberately at point blank range and not in the air, the cops had better be careful because such moves can be met with the same price.”

Greece: Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis – Speech of internationalist solidarity in the context of the trial of the Organization Revolutionary Self-Defense

Posted on 2023/01/08 - 2023/01/08 by darknights

FOR INTERNATIONALIST SOLIDARITY

There are moments when silence is an invitation to crime. There are moments when silence is complicity. Georges Ibrahim Abdallah

You are guilty not only when you commit a crime, but also when you do nothing to prevent it when you have the opportunity. Dimitris Tsafendasi

Since May ’22, a counter-revolutionary trial has been taking place against anarchist fighters, for participation in the armed Organization Revolutionary Self-Defense. This trial comes at a time when the state-capitalist regime is climaxing its aggression against the oppressed, the exploited and excluded. The anarchist Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis is also on trial for this case, while he has taken responsibility, both in public and in this courtroom, for his participation in revolutionary struggle through the Organization of Revolutionary Self-Defense, as well as for keeping the weapons (which in the repressive operation of November ‘19, fell into the hands of the state), in order to continue the guerrilla struggle through the experience and strategy of the Organization Revolutionary Self-Defense. The court of appeal of this particular military tribunal of the counter-revolution will be completed in January ‘23.

Throughout the course of this trial, Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis has been defending the right of revolutionary struggle, the necessity of guerrilla organization and of the armed social self-defense against the tyranny of power, and has been deconstructing and attacking bourgeois justice and its counter-revolutionary laws, inside the enemy field. With an eye to the world revolution, from the beginning of the trial, Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis is speaking about movements and struggles in all parts of the globe, expressing solidarity with those who are struggling, with current struggles, with the political prisoners and their fight today, and with reference to fighters who have been killed. These days, a struggle in italian prisons is taking place; comrade Alfredo Cospito is on hunger strike already for more than 65 days, against the state of total isolation, 41-bis, that has been imposed on him. With the awareness of how critical Alfredo Cospito’s struggle is, comrade Dimitris made extensive reference to Alfredo’s fight, during the trial. Meanwhile, the italian authorities rejected Alfredo’s demand for his removal from the 41-bis regime, and the comrade is continuing the hunger strike.
