The following text is the political view of the Assembly in Solidarity with the four comrades in pre-trial detention Fotis D., Jason R., Lambros V. and Panagiotis V.

On November 14^th, 2021 an unmarked police vehicle rammed into the comrades Fotis D. and Jason R. as they were in motion and then they were taken to the General Police Department of Attica. There, the uniformed garbage of the Greek Police proceeded to mandatory fingerprinting and DNA sampling, in order to link them to the attack on the Piraeus traffic police on the same night. In a process that took only half a day, they raided their homes, making sure to plant incriminating evidence, thus building a weak case against them. At the same time, the media indulged in their usual vile role, talking about homes being bomb and explosives manufacturing facilities, in an attempt to normalise the new criminal code in the public mind (which upgrades the possession and use of Molotov cocktails to a felony). It is worth noting, that the code came into force the day before their arrest. For the millionth time, the fabrication of guilty people by the media, has socially reinforced the prosecution’s argument and created the appropriate ground for the pre-trial detention of our two comrades, who have been held captive for 15 months in the Korydallos and Avlona hellholes.

With the trial date not being set and the case file still open, the interrogator had room to implicate more people. Following a prosecution conducted by the interrogator, on Tuesday morning 20/9, state cops accompanied by a prosecutor, stormed into the house of comrades Panagiotis V. and Lambros V. The comrades were arrested and detained in GADA, where for several hours the reasons for their detention were not known and they were not given the right to communicate with their lawyers or their close ones. The next day, they were tried by the Single-Member Plenary Court in Evelpidon for violation of the weapons law and were later released. Lille, France: Claim of the arson of a Groupama car

The other night, between Monday and Tuesday, we were raging against this world of cages, private property, exploitation and destruction of the living. So we set fire to a Groupama car, which was lying around on the rue des frères Vaillant in Lille.

Among other insurance company crap, Groupama has joined as a civil party in the trial of the Bure association of criminals. So this burning car was also against CIGEO and the people who defend it.

We learned in the bourgeois press that the fire had spread to 5 other cars in the street. We would like to remind you that our target was the Groupama car and not this collateral fire on private property.

The Voix du Nord (DN: local media scum) takes advantage of this to ask for the installation of video surveillance cameras in the neighborhood and to feed a security discourse. This must please insurance companies like Groupama, who are also actively participating in the construction of a world governed by control, speculation and individualism.

Letter from Alfredo Cospito and update on the latest transfer to San Paolo Hospital on March 6

On Monday, March 6 (the 138th day of his hunger strike) Alfredo Cospito was again transferred from Opera Prison to San Paolo Hospital. Recall that the comrade had been an inmate in the Intensive Assistance Service (SAI) inside the Opera prison since Jan. 30, on Feb. 11 transferred for the first time to San Paolo Hospital, and then transferred again to Opera on the 27th of the same month (following the hearing on the 24th in the court of cassation), remaining there for a week, until this last transfer to San Paolo on March 6.

Following the outcome of the Feb. 24 hearing at the court of cassation (which rejected the petition to revoke his detention in 41 bis, further ratifying what had already been decided by the Rome supervisory court in its Dec. 1 hearing), Alfredo stopped taking the mild supplements he had been taking for some time.

Also in the same days as the latest transfer, on March 6, the opinion requested by the Ministry of Justice from the National Bioethics Committee on the possible medical intervention in Alfredo, that is, on force-feeding in case of loss of consciousness, was released. The CNB stresses that it has “no legal, political, moral or ethical legitimacy to formulate an ‘ad personam’ opinion” (and “consequently, the CNB’s response is of a general nature”), without even issuing an unambiguous opinion, thus dividing itself between the “pro-life” and the “pro-choice” (according to the latter, the Anticipated Treatment Arrangement should be respected in any case).

On March 1, during a press conference, Alfredo’s lawyer disclosed a hitherto undisclosed letter-statement by the comrade, plausibly dating back at least a month. We publish its full transcript here. Recall that to date, due to the systematic censorship inherent in 41 bis, it has not yet been possible to read the comrade’s first statement regarding the beginning of the hunger strike, dating back to October 20. The only statement published to date, other than this letter disclosed on March 1, was the one for the December 5 hearing in Turin as part of the Scripta Manent trial.

The state’s choice to annihilate the comrade poses the need to place, once again, no hope in the outcomes of the courts or in the opinions of the various structures deputed to express their views on the contradictions that have opened up in state bodies as a result of the hunger strike and with the development of the international solidarity movement. These are, especially with regard to the courts of the Italian state, structures and figures directly responsible for the very serious conditions in which Alfredo Cospito finds himself. The state, first with the transfer of the comrade in 41 bis on May 5 and later with the cassation ruling of the Scripta Manent trial on July 6, intended to give a warning to the anarchist and revolutionary movement. A warning that after the outcomes of the hearings of the Rome parole court on Dec. 1 and the court of cassation on Feb. 24 was expressed even more clearly, taking the form of a will to total annihilation against the comrade.

To the attempted annihilation against Alfredo and the constant mass-media campaign of slander the whole anarchist movement we respond with the clarity of our ideas and the tenacity of our practices.

My struggle against 41 bis is an individual struggle as an anarchist; I do not do or receive blackmail. I simply cannot live in an inhumane regime like 41 bis, where I cannot freely read what I want, books, newspapers, anarchist periodicals, art, scientific and literature and history magazines.

The only chance I have to get out is to deny my anarchy and sell me someone to put in my place. A regime where I cannot have any human contact, where I can no longer see or stroke a blade of grass or hug a loved one. A regime where photos of your parents are confiscated. Buried alive in a grave, in a place of death. I will carry on my struggle to the bitter end, not because of “blackmail,” but because this is not life. If the goal of the Italian state is to make me “disassociate” myself from the actions of the anarchists outside, know that I do not suffer blackmail. As a good anarchist I believe that everyone is responsible for his own actions, and as a member of the anti-organizational current I have never “associated” with anyone and therefore cannot “disassociate” myself from anyone. You will pay dearly, you will pay everything!

With the Feb. 24 ruling, the men and women of power made their willingness to condemn Alfredo to death definitively explicit: in fact, the ermine-clad minions supinely carried out the will of the government officials and rejected the petition for demotion. “Soon I will die, I hope someone after me will continue the struggle,” these would be Alfredo’s words, leaked from his hospital bed. Our struggle will continue. We owe it to him for the example, moral highness and ability not to bend that he expressed as a revolutionary anarchist. We owe it to the many revolutionary comrades and comrades buried in prisons in every state in the world who do not lower their heads and are punished for the consistency of their actions and convictions. We owe it to ourselves because in a confused, inconclusive, ruffled way, we were able as an anarchist movement to huddle around one of our comrades and express that range of practices that opened the glimmer of reminding us that anarchy is not a nice cultural and ethical dream but can be, become again, the action of attacking the present and the will of the oppressed that becomes practice and speech in challenging the oppressors and their arrogant wills. But in this moment we also think we owe it to someone else: we owe it to the journalists, the politicians, the magistrates who in their cynical sicumera rejoiced at the news that Alfredo will die with contemptuous and bloody exultation. For them we must continue the struggle, so that our wrath, our hatred, our contempt may be a lesson to them in humility. Deform your grit into a fierce grin that has nothing to do with the complicit smile of two anarchists meeting. Raise your shrill little voices in a satisfied chorus because you think you can kill a revolutionary and go unpunished. Sink your hands laden with the blood of the oppressed into the spoils of social wealth you have stolen from them. But keep your eyes tightly closed that I may not glimpse the rottenness of your soul. Keep your eyes well closed for you will see, shortly perhaps, our wrath mounting. Keep your eyes closed because you will be afraid of our struggle that will continue.

So many people are digging for a corpse, but no one takes the responsibility of being the executioner. At the same time, it’s full of gravediggers ready to throw shovels of mud preparing the grave for the anarchist. A confused and dishevelled ballet around the gallows with many bit players: ‘zero tolerance’, institutional blame-game, audience depending changes of course, the spectre of anarchy that keeps the government, or rather the state, ‘under checkmate’, and then the ‘mass-murdering’ anarchists colluding with the mass-murdering mafiosi, with the appearance on stage of the PD [Partito Democratico, “Democratic Party”].

A poorly written and poorly acted theater, a scramble of ignorant ‘experts’, of professional and compulsive liars, of low journalism, sloth and cowardice that does nothing but reveal what is the potential of an individual waging a struggle alone against the state moloch. A moloch, by the way, that by its own makers claim must be very fragile if a few writings on the walls, broken shop windows and a few burnt cars are enough to put it in ‘danger’.

Whichever way you look at it, the struggle of an anarchist thrown into a torture regime has broken the prevailing narrative. Despite the ridiculous attempt to credit him as colluding with (or, even worse, directed by…) the Mafia, despite the ridiculous attempt to misrepresent his acts and words, it would seem that a little critical sense prevails, and that the attempt to undermine his credibility and integrity achieves the opposite effect of bringing out the linear coherence of anti-authoritarians and revolutionaries who continue to defend their ideas and practices without being distracted by the fireworks of post-modern media politics. And that unite, whereas repression would divide.

Shifting the focus away from the smokescreen that has been raised, which forces one to respond to low-grade rubbish, it would suffice to sustain oneself on the cornerstones of anti-authoritarian thinking: to talk of a weld between anarchists and the Mafia (and its corollary: that antagonism in the streets supports the ‘mafiosi’) is an oxymoron, just as it would be to speak of a weld between anarchists and the State for who, in case anyone had forgotten, has always made the rejection of political delegation a bulwark against the representative drift and the trafficking that underlies it. Exactly why opposing imprisonment and torture does not mean sanctifying the people inside, who are often enslaved subservients (and/or also applying) the same political and authoritarian dynamics.

Anarchism is guilty of having been swept aside and mistreated by official historiography or swallowed up in the vortex of inculture of 21st century digital illiteracy, yet its contribution to the development of the tensions and revolutionary path of the last two centuries has been fundamental, although often overexposed to the risk of instrumentalisation, internal purges or self-dissolution, unable to make the results obtained bear fruit in the long term.

However, anarchism has the virtue of being a mala erba, tenacious and difficult to uproot, which relapses more powerfully if one tries to eradicate it. That is what we are experiencing. Its mercurial ability to unite and divide, its fluidity and unpredictability have given it the ability to raise one of the thorniest, most censored and misrepresented issues: prison and torture regimes.

So much needs to be discussed, in the immediate term and in perspective. Now there is a man to support, all the way to the end, since too many are playing without restraint on his very life.

We’ve heard it all. The prime minister Giorgia Meloni, with her usual victimhood, went so far as to suspect conspiracies about the coincidence of the start of the hunger strike with the launching of her government.
Another lie circulating is the one about a phantom alliance between anarchists and the mafia, deduced from wiretaps between Alfredo and the only three people he is allowed to see in the prison yard. The State, which decided to lock an anarchist up in 41 bis for the first time, is now instrumentalising the fact that that anarchist speaks to the only human beings he can meet. Sociability groupings which, by the way, are decided centrally by the ministry in Rome! In truth, it was with the creation of the DNAA (Direzione Nazionale Antimafia e Antiterrorismo) that the State wanted to set up a war machine against revolutionary insurgency, a machine that had as its weapons the exceptional tools that hitherto only applied to the anti-mafia. We are witnessing a complete reversal of the facts: those who merged completely different realities into the bureaucracies of the judicial and penitentiary administration are now crying ‘bonding’.

Similarly, we are aghast when we hear again the president of the council Giorgia Meloni assert that she will not negotiate with anarchists. And not just because everyone in Italy knows that the State only negotiates with the mafia. Statements like these denote that those in government have completely lost touch with reality. It is the anarchists who, since time immemorial, have never wanted to deal with institutions.

Anarchists who, as is well known, have no leaders, no ambassadors, no recognised interlocutors. So they have nothing at all to negotiate about. Anarchist conflictuality does not arise from the instigation of a jailed ‘leader’ and is not moderated in exchange for the survival of a comrade held hostage by the executioners of repression. Our conflict arises from visceral class hatred fuelled every day, not by political sophistry, but by exploitation, blackmail, misery, and the injustices of this society. Direct Action Cells claim responsibility for the following incendiary attacks:

At the home of the judge Panagiota Yioupi, at dawn on Friday October 14, in the Glyfada area.

Youpi is one of the many servile puppets of the gang that operates under the name of Greek justice. She presided in the trial of the child rapist and member of the Mitsotakis family, Dimitris Lignadis, who was released from prison after being found guilty of raping underage children. She is a judge who is part of the influential entourage of the drug-dealing shipping tycoon Vangelis Marinakis, having issued a series of provocative rulings in favor of his interests during her term as a judge in Piraeus.

Yioupi is relentless when confronted with the poor, handing out years of sentences with the same ease she would hand out toys at a children’s party. But she has a peculiarity, she turns into a sensitive and soulful person when confronted by people from high society, with political connections, access and financial clout.

At the home of the judge Myrsini Papachiou, at dawn on Saturday, November 5, in the Zografou area.

Papachiou occupies the highest levels of the cesspool known as civil justice. The throne that she sits on as vice president of the Supreme Court is built from the pain of shattered human lives destroyed by prison.

Our decision to target her, apart from her institutional role, is related to the fact that she is currently involved in the Novartis scandal, being a member of the special court that is currently trying state prosecutors and government officials from the former SYRIZA government, as defendants for allegedly orchestrating a conspiracy in this particular case. She is also a court tribunal member for the upcoming trial of a former SYRIZA minister in a case regarding TV licenses. In fact, in order for Papahiou to be a member of these tribunals, she was hastily promoted to the rank of deputy-president a few days before the selection of tribunal members took place. Without any desire to get involved in the shifting alliances and infighting of this rotten political establishment, we recognize that this court is acting as a white-washing machine for sections of the political elite who are involved in the Novartis scandal. An international scandal that demonstrates with surgical precision how capitalism works. Multinationals, big pharma and politicians were complicit in the criminal regulation of drug prices in the health sector. They were complicit in the dismantling of public hospitals, in the operation of an organized international state-economic mafia that exploited in the worst possible way one of the most basic services, that of health. The government’s systematic attempt to present this scandal as a frame-up goes hand in hand with its refusal to demand compensation from the company. In the early morning of 23/10, we placed a low-powered incendiary/explosive device at the entrance of their apartment building in the Attica area.

An organised ring promoting and covering up pimps, rapists, child rapists, murderers and torturers – The cutting edge of the domestic capital mafia

For those who still insist on not understanding the systemic support and cover-up of police and fascist attacks, for those who still insist that the judiciary is neutral and independent of the domestic bourgeois elite and the whole mechanism of consolidating and monopolizing the violence it practices, for those who were not satisfied with the acquittal of the pimp and child rapist of the New Democracy, Nikos Georgiadis, the “special-friendly treatment” of the mafia boss Menios Fourthiotis, but also the full release on parole of the New Democracy’s Petros Lefkowitz for the serial rapes of his daughter since she was 11 years old, we would like to list only a few of the recent cases where the full complicity of the civil justice system with the scum who destroyed lives was proven. All this is already known, we are simply quoting it in a condensed form to make it absolutely visible that STATE AND CAPITAL VICTORY, VIOLATE AND KILL, that their very nature is exploitation, barbarism, devaluation of lives and the imposition of terror, and that every aspect of political and social life is class and value-determined. It is a SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING TERROR, VIOLENCE AND DEATH, with the corresponding mechanisms of communication management and laundering.

Two years ago, after a solidarity meeting for those arrested during a march against the burning of garbage by Lafarge / AGET in Volos, the comrade Vassilis Maggos was arrested. The cops of the Magnesia Police Directorate torture him and, after covering their voracious violent appetites, throw him into the street. The blows were fatal for the comrade, who breathes his last breath on 13/7/2020. This state murder is still being covered up today by the state-judicial apparatus, as only three cops were indicted for the simple misdemeanour of “dangerous bodily harm”, while no names have been released, and now that the case is being tried, the “law and order enforcers” are committing violence against the people in solidarity who had gathered at the Volos courts.
Last summer, the deafening case of the pimping and rape of a minor girl by her father and a cop at the Ilioupolis police station came to light, with the knowledge and the brutal cover-up of the other state agents of that department. The pimps, rapists and cover-ups are still circulating among us, the case was covered up and buried, until the next and the time after that when we will learn again about trafficking and (child) rape rings involving cops and “prominent” households.
One year ago, on 22/10/2021, cops execute Nikos Sampanis in Perama, gunning him down with 36 bullets after a chase due to racial profiling, and defying orders from the operations centre not to follow the stolen vehicle. The cops claimed they were on “defense,” which of course was debunked by video footage and eyewitnesses. The follow-up is predictable. Immediately all seven were acquitted, returned to work as normal and are walking among us. 2006/2007 – Operazione “FAI DA TE”

To give context to the recent Cassation court of our anarchist comrades imprisoned and feeling the blows of repression that is Operation Scripta Manent in Italy that targetted the Italian Informal Anarchist Federation, we translate and repost the communiques of ‘Operation “FAI DE TE” (D.I.Y.) in which the bomb attack by ‘Rivolta Anonima Tremenda – Federazione Anarchica Informale’ against the Carabinieri School in Fossano features. This attack was described as ‘poiltical massacre’ by the scum of the Italian justice mafiosa and formed an integral part of the Scripta Manent trial.

Phase 3: Triple explosive attack in the Turin neighborhood of Crocetta on March 5, 2007

On the night of June 2, 2006, two devices hidden inside two garbage bins placed about ten meters from each other explode in front of the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano. The two explosions are timed to occur 25 minutes apart. The second device contained numerous bolts. Carabinieri officers attracted by the first explosion thought it was an act of vandalism, so they cleared the debris from the road and moved away before the second explosion occurred

With Operation DO-IT-YOURSELF, the RAT was born: celebrating in our own way, with 2 large firecrackers filled with bolts, the birth of the infamous Italian republic and the equally infamous anniversary of the Carabinieri weapon.

We know that our means are meager and that the comparison with the bombs dropped on Iraq and Afghanistan is unequal, but we also know that only by actions such as these can we help build an anarchist movement capable of fighting the dreariness of exploitation and the habituation to authoritarianism. We hit the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano to make them understand from an early age what admiration their criminal career raises among us exploited, among those who immigrate every day struggling to survive without an ID in their pockets, among those who have seen friends or relatives mowed down at a checkpoint, among those who reject the present state of affairs and rebel, not with talk, but here and now. We love to distribute “firecrackers” in their path so that 10 100 1000 Nassirya* is not just a shouted slogan, but a reality not only in the far east, but also in our cities and valleys.
