Chile: Commemoration 15 years after the assassination of Matías Catrileo

On Tuesday, January 3, 15 years were commemorated since the murder of the weichafe Matías Catrileo in 2008 at the hands of the carabinero Walter Ramírez while armed confrontations were taking place in a territorial recovery in the former Santa Margarita estate (owned by the Luchsinger families).

For this new day of memory and combat, there was the deployment of banners and propaganda in different parts of the local territory; a concentration in Alameda at the height of Cerro Huelen where barricades were set up and confrontations with Molotov;

After armed confrontations in Villa Francia, a policewoman was shot in her helmet and had to be taken to the hospital. In the following days, an investigation was carried out at the site to search for those responsible. Also a RED bus was stopped and completely burned by hooded comrades. Berlin, Germany: Fire of Solidarity for Alfredo Cospito by Autonomous Cell ‘Anna Maria Mantini’

In the early hours of 31 October, we set fire to a van belonging to the GA-Tec company. This company for building and facilities management technology is 100% owned by the Sodexo group and runs prisons itself (in England and Chile) and is a big profiteer of the prison industry. The van burnt out in the Lichtenberg district, where a number of cars have been burnt recently.

Not only to cause damage to the company, but out of an inner motivation we could not help but make such an attack against our oppressors. The news that the comrade Alfredo Cospito is being tortured in the so-called “41bis” regime of justice by the Italian state leaves us anything but indifferent. Alfredo is not only to be muzzled, his existence is on the verge of extinction. We unite with his militant push. Together with his hunger strike, we break the total isolation. We also call on all other comrades to take direct action now and decisively shorten the reaction time of the anarchist international struggle. To snatch Alfredo Cospito from the regime of extermination and unleash a revolutionary force in the coordinated offensive. Not to live in prison or in the isolation regime means a great responsibility. In the struggle combined with hunger strikes, we cannot wait until the prisoner also has to go on thirst strike.

Militant campaigns triggered by hunger strikes can open up a substantial anti-capitalist perspective. Metropolises can be transformed into jungles where the infrastructure of the ruling classes could be completely destroyed if its inhabitants decided to do so. Prison profiteers, arms companies, police contractors, construction corporations – their glass facades, vehicles and data lines that are encroaching on the habitats of our class in increasingly dense urban centers or being used to try and protect themselves in their own sanctuaries. Just like how the GA-Tec/Sodexo van we attacked was engulfed in a high-rise precariat housing estate, it could become commonplace for the logistics of power as the intensifying class antagonisms and the militant campaigns of the anarchist milieu develop a common approach.

Solidarity also to Juan Sorroche and Ivan, who immediately joined Alfredo’s struggle and are also on hunger strike.

Freedom for them and also for Giannis Michailidis, Claudio Lavazza and Toby Shone.

On the night of October 19, three years after the revolt, we attacked with dynamite the company SerCor located in the Las Condes district, specifically in building 150 of El Golf Avenue.

SerCor S.A. is a company of the corporate center of the Angelini Group that offers consulting and support to company boards for the administrative development of their capitalist businesses. SerCor is under the control of AntarChile, which is a major investment company, also belonging to the Angelini Group, and which manages assets of more than US$20 billion.

AntarChile owns more than 70% of the shares of Forestal Arauco, a company with 1.6 million hectares of monoculture plantations responsible for the degradation and devastation of soils and which severely impacts the minimum conditions that a community needs to live, such as access to water and arable land. In addition, the MAPA project promoted by Arauco plans to modernize the pulp industry in southern Chile, reinforcing transnational extractivism in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, Canada, the United States, Panama, among other countries.

Antar also owns the fishing companies Corpesca, Igemar and Orizon with a control in assets of more than 80%. It should be remembered that the fishing company Corpesca bribed by paying more than 200 million to former senator Jaime Orpis (UDI) and former congresswoman Marta Isasi (former UDI) to defend the industrial fishing interests in the congress. Longueira was another of those who profited from this scheme, known as the “Fishing Law” or “Longueira Law”, which benefited the large fishing industry to the detriment of the autonomous fisherman. Through different suppliers, this politician received a sum of 730 million pesos between September 2009 and March 2015 from the company Corpesca. In front of the steamrollers of industrial civilization and progress, one of the last sensible worlds populated by terrifying imagery and enchanted fantasies is disappearing before our eyes: that of the forests. Those that were a fiefdom of the lords who lined the hanged there, or a shelter to escape persecution. Those that represented the darkness where one could abandon one’s hungry offspring or the dense shelter from which to set out on the assault of the existent. Those that harbored mysteries populated by dryads and werewolves or that saw the warship builders and other master forgers come through to strip them en masse. Those that saw in Sherwood daring bandits plundering the rich, in Ariège Demoiselles (*) with soot-covered faces burning and plundering castles, in Courlande of revolutionaries continuing to strike fierce blows against tsarist tyranny, but also witnessing in the Alps or Poland the death by frostbite of migrants driven out by European border guards.

Fundamentally, forests are also ambiguous because of their very etymology, since forest stood for first and foremost the outdoor space not used by villagers-the word savage itself comes from silvaticus, meaning sylvan-before designating vast wooded areas reserved for the nobility and monasteries protected from peasant uses. By a singular inversion of meaning, the word forest, the perilous unknown that Roman civilization could not subjugate, ended up qualifying in a few centuries the territory par excellence of religious and feudal rule, before finally becoming a generic and rather vague term. Santiago, Chile: Incendiary Attack on the Medialuna + Grupo Antiespecista Emilia Bau – Nueva Subversión Claim

On September 12, in anticipation of the imminent national holidays, anonymous individuals decided to set fire to the Medialuna1 located at the foot of the Renca hill, causing considerable damage.

The director of the Confederation of Chilean Rodeo, Roberto Concha, said about the attack: “We express our absolute condemnation of the arson attack suffered by our members in the commune of Renca, which caused serious material damage to a place where for six years there have been no Rodeo competitions due to the refusal of the communal authorities (…) This is a place full of Chileanness”.

Soon after, the “Grupo Antispeciesist Emilia Bau – Nueva Subversión”, claimed responsibility for the attack through e-mails to various counter-information pages.

Claim of the incendiary attack

On the night of September 12, days before the beginning of the patriotic festivities, we attacked the galleries and quinchas2 of a medialuna located at the foot of the Renca hill, enclosures that, under “sporting” and “Creole” motives, do nothing more than perpetuate the bad treatment and torture against animal life, as well as the livestock and fishing industry, hunting and vivisection centers.

According to the FEROCHI (Federación Deportiva del Rodeo Chile, founded in 1961 and which, in 1962, by means of an official document from the National Sports Council and the Chilean Olympic Committee, recognizes rodeo as a “sporting discipline”), more than 1,900 rodeos are held each year, demonstrating the systematization of these abusive practices. FEROCHI, the Federation of Horse Breeders, Chilean Huaso Clubs and Gil Letelier, among others, are organizations that are complicit in maintaining these high numbers. Cochabamba, Bolivia: Claim of arson attack against patrol car of the Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra la Violencia (Special Force to Fight against Violence)

In the early morning of September 12, at 2:40 a.m., we placed an incendiary device composed of four half-liter plastic bottles with gasoline, tied with adhesive tape, which were set on fire by means of a wick that we assembled with 5 matches and 3 incenses tied with rubber bands.

We placed this rudimentary device behind one of the front wheels to ensure that the main damage was in the engine area.

Although all of their cars are incendiary, the choice of a Special Anti-Violence Force van is not random. There is no exception, every police force is the enemy and we don’t buy their song and dance about fighting against gender violence. The patriarchy will fall when the last stone of this prison society falls. We abhor their gendered capitalism. We abhor its State spawn forced on unfathomable differences to satisfy the needs of post-colonial oligarchies. We do not demand anything from the institutions, we do not want any police in our neighborhoods and communities with the story of women’s security. You, murderous cops, are the phallus (now scorched) of patriarchy!

We had a lot of fun imagining how you tried to put out the fire with your little buckets, you lackeys!

This action is for María Fernanda murdered by the police in the EPI of Chasquipampa in 2021, as well as for all those raped and murdered by this enemy institution. Chile: On the current situation of our comrade Mónica Caballero in prison. Anarchist and Subversive Prisoners

From the moment of her arrest, in June 2020, Monica has been in the public connotation module of the San Miguel Women’s Prison. This module is characterized by the direct control exercised by the gendarmerie over the prisoners, with greater and more complex security measures than in the rest of the prison.

Along with this, Monica’s derisory yard time – 1 hour a day – makes her confinement even more oppressive, as she is confined in closed spaces practically all day long.

However, there is one factor that is making life particularly difficult for our compañera inside the prison: being forced to share spaces with women who have assaulted, raped and/or murdered their children. Monica’s contact with these people is at all times and at all hours, a situation that is becoming unbearable for our compañera. It is important to point out that Monica is not relying on the investigations and accusations of the prosecutor’s office, but it is they themselves who openly assume their aberrant behaviors, normalizing aggressions and rapes of their children.

In this sense, we are clear in pointing out that this represents a strategy of Power to subdue comrades who have turned their lives to wage war against authority, as Monica has evidently done. Power knows that our revolutionary ethic clashes head-on with these despicable behaviors and those who perpetrate them, which is why it deliberately exercises this type of provocations that represent, by all means, an added punishment.

We will not accept to share common spaces with rapists, so we demand immediately the change of module of our comrade Monica Caballero.

Together with this, the change of module would also mean that our colleague would no longer be subject to an exceptional regime of control and surveillance, which would undoubtedly improve her situation inside the prison.

Revolutionary, anarchic solidarity is a mutual relationship that requires in an indispensable way a clear and decisive positioning of war both from the prisoners and from the like-minded environments of the street. On this basis, this week of solidarity with the anarchist prisoners comes to strengthen this relationship based on combat, which is nothing other than the existing complicity that threatens every expression of authority.

To break with welfarism and victimhood is to stop seeing the prisoner as an unquestionable subject by the mere fact of his or her situation of temporary confinement. Therefore, it is also to break with practices that tend to hierarchize and become authoritarian. It is essential to keep this in mind at all times in order to strengthen the anarchic anti-prison struggle.

A complicit salute to all groups and individuals who make their own the war against authority, which is inseparable from the anarchic struggle against prisons. Their actions and attacks are an important respite from the oppressive prison life.

BioBio, Chile: Explosive attack knocks down high voltage pylons + Banner claimed by the “Autonomous Urban Resistance”

At 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022, on the eve of the beginning of an election day that sought to elucidate which would be the governing constitution, anonymous hands decided to stay away from the ballot boxes and close to the sabotage.

A thunderous noise shook the commune of Hualqui, in the Bio Bio Region near the city of Concepción. Specifically on the route that joins Hualqui with Quilacoya.

A Transelec high-voltage tower was completely knocked down, damaging those next to it. Despite the destruction, the electricity supply was not affected in the area.

With explosive charges, the persons unknown took the tower off its axis, four dynamite charges were installed, exploding only 3. At dawn, the police personnel managed to go to the sector and noticed not only the damage to the electrical infrastructure, but also a banner left by those responsible for the attack.

A black banner with white letters claimed responsibility for the action, signing it as “Resistencia Urbana Autónoma” (Autonomous Urban Resistance).

In the early hours, the government decided to lower the profile of the events, with the Undersecretary of the Interior Manuel Monsalve himself describing it as a “small incident” due to the fact that third parties had cut a tension cable. Shortly afterwards, he had to retract his statement in view of the evidence of the facts.
