After months of eavesdropping and surveillance conducted by the Anti-Terrorist Group (GAT) of Dijon and members of the GIGN specially come from Versailles (transl. equiv. to SAS or Special Ops), and as part of an investigation entrusted to the Specialized Inter-regional Jurisdiction (JIRS) of Nancy, Boris had been arrested in Besançon on September 22, 2020.

Incarcerated on remand at the Nancy-Maxéville prison, he will be sentenced at first instance on May 19, 2021 to 4 years in prison, being two years definitely served with a recallable probation of two years (with the obligation to work, to reimburse the civil parties and prohibition on carrying a weapon). Tried without a lawyer and in a court guarded by riot police to prohibit access to all the solidarity companions present on the spot (under the pretext of restrictions related to covid-19), Boris appeals within the following days. On August 7, 2021, and while the appeal date had been set for the end of September, a fire in the cell he was locked in seriously hurt him (most notably leaving him paralysed from the neck down). Plunged several months into a coma and prognosed as struggling for his life, his room was guarded by two gendarmes until the lifting of these conditions by the Court of Appeal of Nancy on September 20, 2021. The rest is a long medical journey of the comrade in different hospitals, where he had to continue to fight both against medical authority and other judicial bodies (notably against an attempt to put him under custodianship at the request of the chief physician of the palliative service of Besançon). On the side of the Court of Appeal of Nancy, while the fixing of a date of hearing for the fire of the antennas remained suspended sine die for two years in view of the state of health of Boris, it was in the middle of July of this year 2023 that they suddenly decided to reconvene. The future dystopia of a fully controlled life by smart cities, 5G, where your fridge communicates with your mobile phone or a street lamp, and supermarkets offer you everything you ask for in the (anti)social media is already here. Everything is increasingly connected and everything is being monitored. It’s a future where people will be controlled by the artificial intelligence of big capital – big data and machine learning. Whatever information capital collects is shared with the state. Technology means repression, blackmail and total social control.

At the same time, the ecological war for plutocratic resources called green energy is nothing but a new form of slavery on other continents, allowing Western capitalism to be as independent as possible from Russian gas or oil-producing countries. All this is another new great stage of capitalism – green capitalism. It is the exploitation of the climate crisis and biological extinction by capital and the state.

When the New Democracy government came to power, it began an unprecedented upgrade of the repressive apparatus in numbers and technical equipment. The cops are used as a solution to every “problem”: the pandemic, the universities, demonstrations and protests of all types, the gentrification of Athens. The cops are the number one remedy for everything.

All of the above are condensed in the memorandum of understanding between the government of the New Democracy and Volkswagen with the aim of turning Astypalaia into the first smart island, a laboratory that leads the inhabitants to become guinea pigs of the dystopian future. The contract began in September 2021, and aims to gradually replace the island’s conventional vehicles with electric ones. The project is being portrayed by the mainstream media as a technological leap that will benefit the environment and residents. In reality, of course, the memorandum of understanding is nothing more than another way of increasing profitability and repression at the expense of the natural environment and the inhabitants. VW will be able to test autonomous vehicles on the island on terms outside the strict EU legislation, gaining the upper hand against competition. At the same time there is talk of installing hundreds of wind turbines on the island, turning it into a hub for electricity generation and completely destroying the natural environment. Finally, one of the first moves of the project was the donation of electric vehicles from VW to the murderous assault battalions of the cops and the coast guard.

The cooperation between the bloodthirsty New Democracy government and VW is not unprecedented. VW has a long history of supporting fascist and oppressive regimes. From Nazi Germany in the 1930s, to the military dictatorships in Brazil and Argentina, to Franco’s Spain, VW has always been and continues to be at the forefront of capital profiting on top of harsh oppression.

For all these reasons, at dawn on May 10, we visited the VW dealership on Alexandras Avenue. Our intervention resulted in the destruction of several new electric vehicles and the destruction of the front of the dealership, without endangering passers-by or residents of the area. We consider it an integral part of anarchy to recognize those who profit on oppression, misery and exploitation and it is our duty to return the violence they cause.

We dedicate our action to the prisoners of the social war, Fotis, Iasona, Panos and Lambros, who are being prosecuted for the attack on the Piraeus traffic police.

Hello,
I am writing to give some news about my detention and investigation.

The “attentions” that the prison administration (and/or the preliminary investigation judge?) show me continue. More reprisals for my hunger strikes? Who knows.

In any case, on February 14 there was the third search of my cell (after those of December 6 and January 9). Around 7:30 p.m. the ERIS (anti-terror cops) arrived, with helmets, balaclavas and shields. There were a dozen of them, one officer was holding papers, on the first one I could see my photograph. Ours was the only cell searched in this section (but they let a dog through the corridors), two other cells in another section, I don’t know in the other buildings. The prison warden, Michael Merci, and the assistant warden were also there, watching, from behind the glass doors.
As soon as we were out of the cell, they handcuffed us, me and my concellino (who had been here in the section for just a week) and took us to the shower room, on the ground floor, for the traditional body search. We were locked in the showers during the two-hour cell search.
They found a cell phone with a charger. On Tuesday, March 21, I then went to the disciplinary board. As punishment, I am deprived of the spesina for 30 days.

On March 30, same thing. The ELAC (the prison security “squad”) arrived and the story started again.

As for the investigation, in recent months new elements have been incorporated into the dossier.
The most significant is that the police were able to gain access to my computers, even though they were encrypted.
The one at work, on which Windows is installed, is encrypted with BitLocker. A report incorporated with the file earlier says that they had already tried to access it during my police detention, but had not succeeded. But in September, the Brigade d’appui en téléphonie, cyber-investigation et analyse criminelle (Brigade of support in telephony, cyber-investigation and criminal analysis) sent SDAT a copy of the hard drive. In the report, they explain only that they booted the computer with a USB stick and then used the AccesData FTK imager 3.3.05 program to copy the hard disk. But they do not mention the decryption operation itself.

My personal computer, running Ubuntu 18, is encrypted with Luks (the password is more than twenty characters: letters, digits, punctuation marks…). I did not find in the file any indication of the means they used to decrypt it, but again they made a copy of the hard drive. There are even files that had been deleted and e-mails that had been downloaded with Thunderbird (and then deleted).
They found nothing that could be related to the fires I am accused of. But I think the very fact that they were able to have access to encrypted hard drives with programs supposed to be inviolable should be known as widely as possible.

My mail continues to be severely slowed down (on average, I receive letters a month and a half to two months after they are mailed): the preliminary investigation judge reads all the letters I get and write. Four of my letters were photocopied and incorporated into the file: two that I had written to people from the anti-prison magazine l'”Envolée,” one addressed to Boris (the comrade from Besançon who is in the hospital following the fire in his cell, in the Nancy prison, in August 2021) and the one, addressed to the Gare, near Bure, in which I explained that in “my” dossier appears the complaint that the editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper l'”Est Républicain” filed against the administrators of the website burebure. info for reproducing the claim of a car fire at the newspaper (a fire for which I am accused)

Otherwise, my preventive detention has been extended until mid-June.

I am fine, my spirits are high and I am sorry I cannot be in the square these days.

(Santiago, Chile) ATTACK WITH EXPLOSIVE DEVICE AGAINST OXIQUIM S.A.

With anarchist attitude, the central offices of Oxiquim S.A. in the municipality of Providencia, Santiago, Chile, were attacked.

The high-powered device did not explode because of a solvable technical problem, so we are aiming for more.

Oxiquim, a giant of the Chilean chemical industry and a direct supplier to the country’s major extractive industries in the forestry, mining, agroindustrial and fishing sub-areas.

Oxiquim, a company headed by Fernando Barros Tocornal, a businessman with a high level of influence in Chilean politics, a direct advocate of dictator Pinochet, former president Sebastián Piñera, and a board member of the animal exploitation company Agrosuper.

Oxiquim, directly responsible for the pollution and ecocide of the waters, territory and inhabitants of Quintero-Puchuncaví, defended by the Chilean Navy during protests against the so-called “sacrifice zones.”

This is a new act of revenge against the perpetrators of Earth devastation and destruction. It’s a new violent action by anarchist hands in permanent conspiracy and revolt. It’s a new attack justified by the existence of domination. It is another insurrectionary action in the no-holds-barred struggle for Total Liberation.

Against technological industrial complex that seeks to exploit and dominate all forms of life, WE ARE SELVAGE FORCE. Against illusions of democracy and against all governments and those responsible for Earth devastation, WE PROPOSE CHAOS AND ANARCHY.

From Bure, we wish to send all our solidarity to our comrade Alfredo Cospito, who is currently in solitary confinement (called “41-bis”) in the prison of Sassari in Sardinia (Italy) for having shot the CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare, designer and builder of nuclear power plants, for having claimed his action and for having greatly contributed, from prison, to the debate on our modes of action, the diversity of tactics, internationalism and the revolutionary perspective of the anti-nuclear movement.

Any attempt to isolate one of our comrades will fuel our anger and revive the sparks that drive us to act. Alfredo Cospito’s struggle is also our struggle: against nuclear power and the technocrats who rule the world.

While the extraction of uranium and other rare-earth elements continues to ravage territories and destroy bodies, while nuclear “tests” or bomb trainings have contaminated the regions and inhabitants of Quirra in Sardinia, the Hoggar mountains in Algeria, Moruroa and Fangataufa in Polynesia, and other territories taken over by the imperialist powers, while in its war against Ukraine, Russia is using nuclear power plants as a sword of Damocles, Europe agrees that nuclear power is a “green” energy, France is rushing head first to build new reactors and Italy is questioning the shutdown of its production (after all, it didn’t mind continuing to build power plants in other countries, so why continue to pretend to have stopped, right?). The projects of burying radioactive waste, in Bure (France) and now also in Italy, are not a search for solutions to the contaminations that nuclear power has produced, but tools to allow nuclear power to develop, more and more.

The Italian state, in the vanguard of the repression of our struggles, adopts, not too surprisingly, the strategy of isolation. Isolate more and more: on an island far from loved ones, alone in a prison, in a cell in the basement. Sardinia, a militarized island, a training ground for special forces, with its NATO bases, is a node of the war. For a long time, it has been used as a location for isolating the most problematic political prisoners, such as the Red Brigades and the Nuclei Armati Proletari locked up in the Fornelli prison in Asinara, whose revolt of October 2, 1979 should be recounted. The Fornelli prison has now become a museum, but it has not made history of all the other prisons, it has not put an end to the confinements in the 41-bis special regime, and therefore it will not archive our struggles.
