“…From under the glitter and glare of London, the prison city, this anarchist library now humbly stands. Not a shop, nor a radical ‘space’, nor the organ of some organisation or other, Touchpaper is a small contribution towards a place for the encounter, for eye-to-eye discussion and for pushing outwards against the grain…”
A new anarchist library in south london, home to subversive publications from around the world including a distro, a library (where publications can be borrowed for a small deposit) and a forthcoming archive of anarchist ideas put onto paper.

Besançon (Doubs): The medical and judicial powers are relentless against Boris
In April 2020, our comrade and friend Boris set fire to the antennas of four cell phone operators, as well as those of the cops and the gendarmes on the Mont Poupet (Jura). Identified by DNA present on a bottle cap, he was incarcerated in September 2020 in the prison of Nancy, then sentenced in April 2021 to four years in prison, two of which are unsuspended. In a public letter written from prison*, he defended his act by his desire to oppose the increasing digitalization of our lives through direct action, with all the control, environmental and social ravages it implies. In August 2021, he was seriously injured in a cell fire, and has since been in the hands of the medical authorities. On the judicial side, his imprisonment was lifted at the time of the appeal trial of the following September (postponed sine die), while an enquiry, still in progress, was entrusted to a judge in Nancy in order to determine the causes of the fire and to investigate the eagerness of the screws to let our companion suffocate in his cell.
Alternating between artificial coma and semi-consciousness for a few months, Boris could not make his own decisions. The doctors were not without mistakes in their diagnoses, but always with unwavering confidence. At the beginning of March 2022, Boris was transferred from the “Grands Brûlés” wing of the Metz hospital to the intensive care unit of the Besançon CHRU, which in April decided to get rid of him by sending him to another unit that was not well suited to his situation, without his opinion having any importance. This decision, which had serious consequences and meant the abandonment of active care, was essentially motivated by the fact that no favourable evolution of his state of health was observed, following miserable statistical criteria. Clearly, these criteria take absolutely no account of the particular individual to whom they are applied in an absolute and chilling manner, even if he expresses his fierce will to continue to live and fight to get better. Taking advantage of his current quadriplegia, and despite the fact that he is able to speak, lucid and combative, the doctors decided not to resuscitate him if a new serious infection occurred. It was only by protesting and writing letters that they had to take into account his will to survive and resume a minimum of active care. THE SOCIAL CREDIT SYSTEM
“The most effective power is that which cannot be seen. This fact, combined with the reduction of the subject to a mere economic “animal laborans” and the deconflictionalisation and depoliticisation of society, is tending towards constructing a framework in which rules and those who decide them can hardly be challenged.”
“Depoliticisation and economic success are the most effective tools for pacifying society and maintaining control over it, and the social credit system goes in this direction.”
From 2013 Rongcheng, Chinese city in the province of Shandong, started experimenting with the ‘social credit’ system, but the aim is to extend it throughout the country by 2023.
In Rongcheng, each citizen is assigned 1,000 initial points, and each score corresponds to a specific letter: AAA to D. The letter ‘A’ (equivalent to 1,000 points) is the basic score and entails access to certain benefits, such as preferential assistance in employment and priority in school enrolment. One can aim to increase one’s score through behaviour considered by the Chinese Communist Party as ‘virtuous’: paying taxes and bills on time, making certain purchases, sharing and spreading party ideas, etc. a long list of behaviours by which the ‘trustworthiness’ and ‘virtuousness’ of citizens is judged. Of course, reporting people whose attitudes are deemed to be improper leads to an increase in one’s score. The benefits for the highest level (AAA, accessible to those with more than 1,050 points) include: higher pension insurance, subsidies for public transport, the possibility of applying for interest-free loans, being able to rent vehicles without having to leave a deposit, requiring fewer documents for travel visas, etc.
One’s score also becomes a symbol of prestige to be displayed online, as it already is on the Baihe website, which already allows its users to publish their score. On the other hand, those who are in a difficult situation and therefore pay their bills, rent or taxes late will inevitably have their points deducted; the same goes for those who do not cross at a pedestrian crossing, who throw paper on the ground, who express political opinions not in line with the party, etc. The list of behaviour deemed ‘immoral’ is very long. To give context to the recent Cassation court of our anarchist comrades imprisoned and feeling the blows of repression that is Operation Scripta Manent in Italy that targetted the Italian Informal Anarchist Federation, we translate and repost the communiques of ‘Operation “FAI DE TE” (D.I.Y.) in which the bomb attack by ‘Rivolta Anonima Tremenda – Federazione Anarchica Informale’ against the Carabinieri School in Fossano features. This attack was described as ‘poiltical massacre’ by the scum of the Italian justice mafiosa and formed an integral part of the Scripta Manent trial.

OPERATION D.I.Y. (FAI DA TE)
1st phase: Bombing of the Carabinieri School in Fossano on June 2, 2006
2nd phase: Explosive packages on July 4, 6 and 7, 2006 to:
– Director of “Torino Cronaca” Giuseppe Fossati
– COEMA Edilità srl
– Mayor of Turin acting for the time being Sergio Chiamparino
Phase 3: Triple explosive attack in the Turin neighborhood of Crocetta on March 5, 2007
On the night of June 2, 2006, two devices hidden inside two garbage bins placed about ten meters from each other explode in front of the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano. The two explosions are timed to occur 25 minutes apart. The second device contained numerous bolts. Carabinieri officers attracted by the first explosion thought it was an act of vandalism, so they cleared the debris from the road and moved away before the second explosion occurred
OPERATION DO-IT-YOURSELF
With Operation DO-IT-YOURSELF, the RAT was born: celebrating in our own way, with 2 large firecrackers filled with bolts, the birth of the infamous Italian republic and the equally infamous anniversary of the Carabinieri weapon.
RAT identifies itself under the banner of the Informal Anarchist Federation and calls on the other federated groups to join the DO IT YOURSELF campaign in solidarity with all arrested anarchists, in response to the wave of anti-anarchist repression that has hit the movement in recent months, forcing many anarchist newspapers to close their doors by putting entire editorial offices under lock and key.
We have no intention of waiting for hypothetical mass uprisings, of spending our lives dreaming of burning suburbs and hordes of exploited “barbarically” storming the neighborhoods of the rich. Free from the soporific influence of the know-it-all leaders of the anarchist movement, we have decided to go it alone, taking action. We know that our means are meager and that the comparison with the bombs dropped on Iraq and Afghanistan is unequal, but we also know that only by actions such as these can we help build an anarchist movement capable of fighting the dreariness of exploitation and the habituation to authoritarianism. We hit the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano to make them understand from an early age what admiration their criminal career raises among us exploited, among those who immigrate every day struggling to survive without an ID in their pockets, among those who have seen friends or relatives mowed down at a checkpoint, among those who reject the present state of affairs and rebel, not with talk, but here and now. We love to distribute “firecrackers” in their path so that 10 100 1000 Nassirya* is not just a shouted slogan, but a reality not only in the far east, but also in our cities and valleys.
Solidarity and freedom for all anarchists imprisoned in Italy, Germany, Spain and Greece!!!
Solidarity and freedom for all prisoners!!!
Fire in prisons, barracks, C.P.T., banks and courts!!!

Cassation Scripta Manent: some considerations and clarifications
This writing stems from the need to explain to comrades what will happen after the Cassation ruling for the Scripta Manent trial issued on July 6.
Starting with the most serious convictions, the court requalified the explosive attack against the Carabinieri’s student school in Fossano(Cuneo) on June 2, 2006 and claimed by Rivolta Anonima e Tremenda / Federazione Anarchica Informale as a “political massacre” (art. 285 c. p.), referring the case back to the Turin Court of Appeals for a peggiorative recalculation of the sentence with the risk of life imprisonment for comrades Alfredo Cospito and Anna Beniamino.
In addition, all other convictions handed down in the Court of Appeals were upheld with sentences ranging from 2 years and 6 months to 1 year and 6 months for 11 comrades and acquittals for the rest of the defendants.
The convictions and acquittals as of now are final.

EVEN THE RICH BLEED
COMMUNIQUÉ CLAIM FOR PARCEL BOMB AGAINST ALESSANDRO PROFUMO
The horrors of war move sensitive souls. To us, however, they remind us that it is injustice that dominates this world. The mangled bodies are always those of poor people, it is never a rich man who dies, who loses a hand.
We do not think we can compete with the violence of the state; your capacity for destruction and death is unparalleled. In recent years you have shown it in Syria, in Iraq, today in Ukraine, and we saw it with the torture and slaughter in Italian prisons in March 2020. We have not forgotten or forgiven.
We cannot compete with your violence and probably do not even have the guts. Instead, we believe in the necessity of revolutionary violence, in action that opens glimpses of freedom. We believe in the contagion of ideas that walk through actions.
Once again the Informal Anarchist Federation becomes a tool for revolutionary communication and propagation of anarchist action. An instrument to which all comrades can adhere by affixing their signatures to the acronym FAI-FRI, putting us in communication without the dangers derived from direct knowledge. A tool with which we can express ourselves, even dialogue and confront each other, in the knowledge that we are talking to comrades who have put their lives and thus their freedom at risk. When words are too many and consequent actions are few, it is up to us alone to reverse this trend.
We brought a little reminder of violence home to those who with state violence do their business.
We sent the parcel bomb that arrived June 27 in Rome to Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo S.p.A., the state-owned company that produces weapons of war and cutting-edge technological devices. A collector and boardroom climber, a grand boot licker of universities, Profumo is one of those people we are unlikely to see bleeding from the wars with which he enriches himself. Leonardo has done business trading arms with both Russia and Ukraine, today its shares are flying on the stock market, and the Italian government is promising a shower of billions coming in thanks to the NATO-mandated arms race. Their capital is only ever matched by our suffering and sacrifice.
Can you smell the perfume of rage? We are coming to restore some of your terror, scum!
Leonardo is at the forefront of technological development and research in Europe, for example being repeatedly commended for its achievements in the field of aerospace engineering. The coincidence is not surprising since war and technical innovation have always been interconnected.
It is with technology that they ruin our lives, that they spy on us, that they drive us into misery. It is with developments in techno-science that aim to reshape the social fabric, making war possible. Let us strike at those responsible.
Let us call for an international campaign of action against the oligarchs who enrich themselves with war, the masters of energy and the techno-science and industrial sectors. Each with the means and methods they prefer, making their case or letting the facts speak for themselves.
We dedicate this action to Alfredo Cospito: remove our comrade from 41 bis or you will have to start washing the blood of the jailers.
No resignation, no truce, no peace. For international fraternity and revolutionary action.

Rome, 10 cars are not enough…
In the early hours of May 27, we carried out an incendiary action against the Enjoy carpooling vehicles belonging to the multinational ENI s.p.a. (national hydrocarbon company) in the Tuscolana-Cinecittà area of Rome. According to local newspapers, 10 cars were completely destroyed, while four others were seriously damaged.
ENI has always been one of the pillars of Italian capitalism, and its interests coincide with those of the State and, consequently, of the governments that succeed one another in administering it, whether they are of the right or the left, because its profits and infrastructures are strategic insofar as they strengthen the State in which they are located, being fundamental for the preservation of economic power, in the contemporary configuration of the capitalist productive system.

ENI is present in many countries where local and international conflicts are active for the control of energy resources: Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Kazakhstan (note that not a word was heard against the oligarch Putin when he sent his troops to quell the uprisings that broke out in that country), to name but a few. In these places, energy in the form of fossil fuels has been extracted from the earth for decades to feed the energy needs of Western industry, in a pattern that takes the form of true neo-colonialism. These extractive activities, it should be remembered, carry great risks for the environment and indigenous populations, especially in countries where controls and safety systems are consciously minimized in order to maximize profits, as in the case of the Niger Delta, an area severely devastated by continuous crude oil spills and the dispersion of gases and combustion residues resulting from extraction activities into the air. Continue reading “Rome, Italy: 10 cars are not enough…”

We have always prioritized not having intermediaries when it comes to communicating, that no one speaks for us and in these days that we will be two years since those who support the hegemony of power and force locked us in these concrete pits called prisons, will be no exception.
This second year of imprisonment will bring with it the end of the investigative period of our legal process, that is to say that the period in which the prosecution and the ten prosecutors could gather information against us, will end. The closing of the investigation opens an intermediate process prior to the trial.
The judicial investigation against us has spared no resources; the police have made great efforts not to leave any loose end. The aim with us is to give an exemplary sentence that will frighten anyone who makes the practice of political violence their own, especially with regard to the placing and sending of explosive devices. Furthermore, we are not unknown to the powerful; on more than one occasion we have been seated in the dock, and in all of them we have made clear our anarchic position. Our current legal situation is closely linked to our previous judicial processes.
We are self-critical with respect to our mistakes at the time of our actions, each one of them are part of our experience and learning, which we hope will also serve for others. We feel part of a long road of struggles against domination, a historical road that changes according to the different conflict scenarios. Continue reading “Chile: Two years after our imprisonment.
