Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim – Arson of a National Technical University vehicle

Posted on 2022/05/27 - 2022/05/27 by darknights

ANNOUNCEMENT – CALL FOR A CAMPAIGN OF ACTION AGAINST THE UNIVERSITY POLICE

WHY WE BURNED THE OFFICIAL CAR USED BY THE RECTOR ANDREAS BOUDOUVIS FOR HIS INTERNAL MOVEMENTS WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY PREMISES

On May 12, the Council of State effectively upheld the law on the University Police since, as stated in its decision, neither academic freedom nor the autonomy of Higher Education Institutions is violated. The Council of State’s decision argues, inter alia, that there are important reasons of security and public order according to which it is deemed necessary to have the universities guarded by the police. Is the Council of State competent to admonish and defend values such as freedom and morality? Would the Council of State do well to resolve its internal issues first and foremost and leave aside the public security issues at a time when its former Vice-President and President of the Third Department, Panagiotis Efstratiou, is involved in a case of cocaine use and trafficking among minors? We do not expect anything different from the Council of State, the Supreme Court and their courts, which are rife with corruption and scandals, which wash away businessmen, politicians, big business and other scoundrels without a trace of shame at the same time as society is sinking into poverty and misery. The most recent and striking example, moreover, concerns the – beyond all provocation – cover-up of the rapists of Georgia Bika, where the scum of the well-known multinational rushed to cover up in the most blatant way the rape of the militant Georgia. Words are superfluous. An instrument of cynical execution of governmental dictates, the judiciary is humiliated in the courtrooms, the corrupt system rules them undisturbed and the fairy tales about separation of powers just make the big picture even more provocative.Surely the answer for the University Police Corps will not be given by the Council of State. The best and most targeted answer will be given by the student movement itself, the world of struggle, the anarchist and radical space, the parts of the militant left and the part of the progressive space that must finally put a brake on arbitrariness and authoritarianism. We are convinced that a mosaic of actions will unfold in the coming period, from symbolic actions to more dynamic actions that will cancel this bill in practice and why not put on the table the issue of self-organization and subversion not only within the universities but also in the whole society as a whole. Let all the schools be closed with occupations, let students and teachers with basic self-respect abstain from classes, let mass demonstrations take place all over Greece, let all the cops who will staff the new body be targeted. Chile: Communique for comrade Kuyi

Posted on 2022/05/27 by darknights

After a new commemoration of the death of Mauricio Morales, students of the Liceo de Aplicación (Application High School) carried out an incendiary march with barricades, memory and combat on May 23.

It begins with the burning of a bus in Cumming con la Alameda and ends with two arrested, one of them released without charges but with constant harassment and monitoring by the management of the Liceo de Aplicación. The second comrade on May 24 is left in the hands of Sename for three months while the investigation lasts and then he would be imprisoned with the charges of frustrated homicide to the passengers and bus driver, threats with a firearm to the driver, anti-terrorist law, burning the bus and also the lawsuits of the State and the RedBus company. All these charges add up to at least 10 years.

In the face of this we call to continue the combat and street struggle demanding the immediate freedom of our comrade Kuyi.

Santiago, Chile: White Overalls comrade arrested in connection with the burning of a Transantiago bus

Posted on 2022/05/27 by darknights

On Monday, May 25, different street confrontations took place in the framework of a new commemoration of the death of comrade Mauricio Morales. From the Ex Pedagogico, the Instituto Nacional and the Liceo de Aplicaciones.

It was in the incendiary outbreak from the Liceo de Aplicaciones that the police of the sector managed to hide and then attack the encapuchados (hooded ones) who were setting fire to a bus in the middle of the Alameda, managing to arrest a comrade in white overalls. The action is captured by the surveillance cameras of the sector and is widely reported by the press.
While the bored conspiracy theorists fantasize and rave about policemen “disguised” as encapuchados in white overalls.

The detained friend, is 16 years old and is formalized by the North Central Prosecutor’s Office, so that later the 7th Court of Guarantee decreed 90 days of investigation in “provisional internment”, that is to say, locked up in the SENAME (National Service for Minors).

To leave no one alone. To fight for the liberation of comrade Kuyi!

Santiago, Chile: Attack against the security company Fullclean Security operated by the mutilator policeman Claudio Crespo + Claim of Células Revolucionarias Mauricio Morales

Posted on 2022/05/27 by darknights

During the night of May 20, 2022, a loud explosion woke up the neighbors in the Ñuñoa district. The noise came from the company Fullclean Security in street Román Díaz #2161.

The innocent company is in the name of Claudio Crespo, recognized policeman who participated in a series of eye mutilations during the revolt of 2019, among them the complete blindness of Gustavo Gatica.

The artifact did not cause structural damage or injuries, and OS-9 and Labocar personnel quickly arrived at the scene, who found parts of cables, timers and battery. The South Prosecutor’s Office took charge of the investigation, with no arrests so far.

Shortly after, the Cellulas Revolucionarias Mauricio Morales claimed responsibility for the attack by e-mail.

*Claim of explosive attack against Fullclean Security.

We have attacked with explosives the private security company of Claudio Crespo Guzmán, ex-cop mutilator, cocaine addict and part of the shock groups of fascism in Chile!

The night of Friday, May 20, the Black May, we went to Fullclean Security in Román Díaz Street #2161, Ñuñoa, to harass this mercenary who, finding it impossible to continue repressing in uniform, has set up a private company to exercise power and control as a means of subsistence.

In this place it is evident that both the state and private surveillance business maintain a necessary relationship to perpetuate their privileges and authority. Repressive activities are an essential part of its validation mechanism, therefore, there is not and will not be a State that does not imprison, mutilate or murder those who stand in its way of devastation and permanent violence. These actions correspond to the continuity of a state policy that transcends the governments in power, be they right-wing, left-wing, plurinational or conventional. There is no need to separate the leaders from the mafia: all authority is equally bad. Italy: Update on cassation hearing for Scripta Manent trial and transfer of anarchist Alfredo Cospito from Terni prison to Sassari prison

Posted on 2022/05/27 by darknights

Update on the cassation hearing for the Scripta Manent trial and transfer of anarchist Alfredo Cospito from Terni prison to that of Sassari (Italy, May 25, 2022)

The cassation hearing of the Scripta Manent trial was held today, May 25, in Rome. The attorney general argued for the rejection of all the requests (of the prosecution and the defence) with the exception of the crime of massacre, for which he requested a referral to the court of appeal for the requalification from ‘common massacre’ to ‘political massacre’. The hearing was adjourned to June 27 for the last defence arguments and the final verdict.

Meanwhile, also today, Alfredo Cospito was transferred to Bancali prison, located near Sassari (in Sardinia). As is known, the 41 bis prison regime (the most restrictive penitentiary regime in Italian prisons) was ordered for the comrade, with a measure effective from May 5.

The comrade’s new address is as follows:

Alfredo Cospito
C. C. di Sassari “Giovanni Bacchiddu”
Strada provinciale 56 n. 4
Località Bancali
07100 Sassari (Italy)

Below is the address of the other comrade currently imprisoned for Scripta Manent, Anna Beniamino, imprisoned in the Rebibbia prison in Rome:

Anna Beniamino
C. C. di Roma Rebibbia femminile
via Bartolo Longo 92
00156 Roma (Italy)

Athens, Greece: Political text by Anarchist Georgia Voulgari, a prisoner in the women’s prison of Korydallos

Posted on 2022/05/23 - 2022/05/23 by darknights

Political text by Georgia Voulgari, a prisoner in the women’s prison of Korydallos.

We are in a daily war, a war with the status quo, with every form of power that eats away at our lives, and in this war I realized where I belong. In a world where patriarchy rapes and kills us, where capitalism crushes us, impoverishing what we call life, in this world where humanity itself dominates nature and animals, perpetuating anthropocentric thinking and speciesism. So I chose sides. For the power complex will not destroy itself, no social change will come about unless our action transcends reformist logics, having a will to believe and a commitment to our ideas, putting theory into practice.

I proudly declare myself anarchist, proud that in this rotten society, the society of submission and spectacle, I did not bow my head before exploitation and power and chose to stand next to comrades who, by supporting the multiform struggle, also wrote their own page in the revolutionary historical memory. So far, living my new life next to them, in squats, through their common struggles for freedom, I learned what solidarity and comradeship is, what it means to give everything for what you believe in even if you are going to lose your freedom. I take the political responsibility that is due to me for my complicity in the incendiary attack that took place on 8/2 at the Foundation for National and Religious Reflection. A fragmentary action, which was not carried out by an organisation, namely the Anarchist Action organisation of which I am accused as a member, but was motivated by the desires and anger of two people against religious obscurantism, patriarchy and state power. June 11, 2022: International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason & All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners

As time moves on and the seasons change, we approach once again the June 11th International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason & All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners. Another year has passed, and many of our dear comrades remain captives of the state, subject to its daily subjugation, isolation, and brutality. June 11th is a time to stop the ever-quickening rush of our lives and remember.

Remember our imprisoned comrades. Remember our own histories of revolt. Remember the flame – sometimes flickering, sometimes blazing – of anarchism.

WE ARE ALL POTENTIAL PRISONERS

With June 11th, we desire to deepen a critique of prison that challenges the distinction between prisoner and supporter. For us, these differences are conditional: we, as anarchists, see ourselves as potential prisoners. Some of us have been, some of us will be. This is the basis of our solidarity – a recognition of ourselves in the plight of those in prison.

The continuum of prisoner and supporter can only be seen as tenuous if one looks to the examples of imprisoned and formerly-imprisoned comrades: Marius Mason’s activity with the Anarchist Black Cross, Bill Dunne’s liberation of an anarchist prisoner, Pola Roupa’s attempted helicopter rescue of anarchist prisoners, Claudio Lavazza‘s actions to liberate prisoners. The connections deepen when one considers that numerous anarchist prisoners are locked up for attacks on prison, judicial, and police institutions; and that others connect us to prisoner uprisings from California and Alabama to Greece and Italy. UK: Contribution from anarchist comrade Toby Shone for a postponed prison abolition event hosted by Bristol Anti-Repression Campaign

Posted on 2022/05/21 - 2022/05/21 by darknights

This statement from Toby Shone on prison abolition was recorded and transcribed from HM Prison Parc in Bridgend, Wales, UK. It was his contribution to a prison abolition event due to be hosted by Bristol Anti-Repression Campaign on 8 May 2022 but which was postponed until a later date yet to be decided.

Hello Everyone

This is Toby Shone. I’m an imprisoned anarchist held in G4S Parc. It’s a slave labour camp holding 1,800 men in South Wales run by the security multinational on a government contract providing dirt cheap labour for private companies.

I was captured by the anti-terrorist unit during Operation Adream in November 2020. First I want to thank you for listening and also the opportunity provided by Bristol Anti-Repression Coalition. Moments like this break the isolation we feel as prisoners and they also give us a chance to participate and to speak out. There are many reasons to oppose prisons and the current judicial system and as an anarchist I can’t separate the anti-prison struggle from the struggle against the State and civilisation and I’m going to return to this later. But now I’ll briefly give an account of some of the joint struggles inside prison.

I’ve never sought to hide my perspectives while I’ve been here and I’ve been subject to a lot of State intimidation and scrutiny because of that and I’ve never backed down. The prisons in the UK are mostly filthy and overcrowded, lacking basic resources, degrading and decaying.

In London I was held in the prison within the prison alongside Jihadis, Russian-Italian-Ukrainian mafia, postcode war gang members, high level money launderers and so on. Overall we all got on well with each other, even with high levels of violence and on average one death or suicide each month. There we had a laundry room where we could meet, play cards, and talk. We’d exchange books and ideas as well as our hopes and fears. And because of this social area, the administration moved to shut down our laundry and move it off wing. So we had a small struggle to keep it open, spreading a unity between all the groups, collecting 200 signatures for our petition and also it was almost every man that signed it there on H block. It might seem a minor struggle but in prison everything small becomes of a huge significance because you have almost nothing but your dignity and only you can give that away. And it’s important for our decency to have clean clothes and bedsheets, pillowcases and so on. And if the laundry was moved off wing this couldn’t be guaranteed and nobody wanted to have their clothes stolen or damaged and it’s almost impossible to get any more. And it would also mean that we would have to suffer the inability to wash our clothes more than once a week and that’s even if the scheme ran correctly. In practice, in prison, nothing works as it should and it’s intended to be that way, to make life as difficult as possible. Suffice to say, our petition was completely ignored by the authorities and the imprisoned fellow in charge of running the laundry lost his job and was moved prison as a kind of punishment because he was blamed for stirring up trouble. In prisons, the administrations are very scared of anything even slightly challenging to their power. We have to consider these intermediate struggles very well, but we must never give up our stances.
