Italy: We do not allow the murder of Alfredo Cospito, on hunger strike since October 20th. Call for international mobilization

On October 20th, anarchist Alfredo Cospito, during a trial at the Sassari surveillance court, made an attempt to read an articulate statement in which he was about to announce that he is starting a hunger strike against the 41 bis prison regime to which he is subjected and against life imprisonment without possibility of parole. A battle that Alfredo does not intend to stop, until his own death. The comrade, who has been in 41 bis since last May 5th, under a decree signed by then Minister of Justice Marta Cartabia, is now being detained in the Bancali prison in Sardinia.

Alfredo Cospito is an anarchist who has always been at the front line of struggles, never willing to compromise or give up. He is a comrade who has been fighting since the late 1980s, a period in which he was imprisoned as a total objector (for refusing to serve in the obligatory military service) and who, after his arrest in 2012, during the trial that followed, claimed the responsibility for the shooting of Ansaldo Nucleare executive Roberto Adinolfi, an act that was carried out by Nucleo Olga / Federazione Anarchica Informale – Fronte Rivoluzionario Internazionale, FAI-FRI (“Olga Nucleus” / Informal Anarchist Federation – International Revolutionary Front), and occurred on May 7th of the same year in Genoa.

Alfredo has been always active in the defense of comrades affected by repression, in every corner of the world. His struggle objectively concerns all detainees, among whom we particularly remember the three militants of Brigate Rosse per la costruzione del Partito Comunista Combattente (Red Brigades for the construction of the Combatant Communist Party) locked up for more than 17 years in 41 bis (Nadia Lioce, Roberto Morandi, Marco Mezzasalma). In 2009, comrade Diana Blefari, from the same organization, committed suicide after her living in this harsh prison regime.

Alfredo has been uninterruptedly in prison for 10 years, which he spent in High Security sections until his transfer to 41 bis. In 2016 he was involved in repressive operation “Scripta Manent”, accused of subversive association with the purpose of terrorism and multiple explosive attacks. Following a Supreme Court verdict in July this year, the sentence for Alfredo and Anna Beniamino was reformulated to “political massacre,” the only punishment which means prison for life. The Italian state that has always been protecting fascist mass murderers now wants to condemn two anarchists for massacre for an attack that caused neither victims nor injuries. 2006/2007 – Operazione “FAI DA TE”

To give context to the recent Cassation court of our anarchist comrades imprisoned and feeling the blows of repression that is Operation Scripta Manent in Italy that targetted the Italian Informal Anarchist Federation, we translate and repost the communiques of ‘Operation “FAI DE TE” (D.I.Y.) in which the bomb attack by ‘Rivolta Anonima Tremenda – Federazione Anarchica Informale’ against the Carabinieri School in Fossano features. This attack was described as ‘poiltical massacre’ by the scum of the Italian justice mafiosa and formed an integral part of the Scripta Manent trial.

On the night of June 2, 2006, two devices hidden inside two garbage bins placed about ten meters from each other explode in front of the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano. The two explosions are timed to occur 25 minutes apart. The second device contained numerous bolts. Carabinieri officers attracted by the first explosion thought it was an act of vandalism, so they cleared the debris from the road and moved away before the second explosion occurred

OPERATION DO-IT-YOURSELF
With Operation DO-IT-YOURSELF, the RAT was born: celebrating in our own way, with 2 large firecrackers filled with bolts, the birth of the infamous Italian republic and the equally infamous anniversary of the Carabinieri weapon.
RAT identifies itself under the banner of the Informal Anarchist Federation and calls on the other federated groups to join the DO IT YOURSELF campaign in solidarity with all arrested anarchists, in response to the wave of anti-anarchist repression that has hit the movement in recent months, forcing many anarchist newspapers to close their doors by putting entire editorial offices under lock and key.
We have no intention of waiting for hypothetical mass uprisings, of spending our lives dreaming of burning suburbs and hordes of exploited “barbarically” storming the neighborhoods of the rich. Free from the soporific influence of the know-it-all leaders of the anarchist movement, we have decided to go it alone, taking action. We know that our means are meager and that the comparison with the bombs dropped on Iraq and Afghanistan is unequal, but we also know that only by actions such as these can we help build an anarchist movement capable of fighting the dreariness of exploitation and the habituation to authoritarianism. We hit the Carabinieri cadet school in Fossano to make them understand from an early age what admiration their criminal career raises among us exploited, among those who immigrate every day struggling to survive without an ID in their pockets, among those who have seen friends or relatives mowed down at a checkpoint, among those who reject the present state of affairs and rebel, not with talk, but here and now. We love to distribute “firecrackers” in their path so that 10 100 1000 Nassirya* is not just a shouted slogan, but a reality not only in the far east, but also in our cities and valleys.

COMMUNIQUÉ CLAIM FOR PARCEL BOMB AGAINST ALESSANDRO PROFUMO

The horrors of war move sensitive souls. To us, however, they remind us that it is injustice that dominates this world. The mangled bodies are always those of poor people, it is never a rich man who dies, who loses a hand.

We do not think we can compete with the violence of the state; your capacity for destruction and death is unparalleled. In recent years you have shown it in Syria, in Iraq, today in Ukraine, and we saw it with the torture and slaughter in Italian prisons in March 2020. We have not forgotten or forgiven.

We cannot compete with your violence and probably do not even have the guts. Instead, we believe in the necessity of revolutionary violence, in action that opens glimpses of freedom. We believe in the contagion of ideas that walk through actions.

Once again the Informal Anarchist Federation becomes a tool for revolutionary communication and propagation of anarchist action. An instrument to which all comrades can adhere by affixing their signatures to the acronym FAI-FRI, putting us in communication without the dangers derived from direct knowledge. A tool with which we can express ourselves, even dialogue and confront each other, in the knowledge that we are talking to comrades who have put their lives and thus their freedom at risk. When words are too many and consequent actions are few, it is up to us alone to reverse this trend.

We brought a little reminder of violence home to those who with state violence do their business.

We sent the parcel bomb that arrived June 27 in Rome to Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo S.p.A., the state-owned company that produces weapons of war and cutting-edge technological devices. A collector and boardroom climber, a grand boot licker of universities, Profumo is one of those people we are unlikely to see bleeding from the wars with which he enriches himself. Leonardo has done business trading arms with both Russia and Ukraine, today its shares are flying on the stock market, and the Italian government is promising a shower of billions coming in thanks to the NATO-mandated arms race. Their capital is only ever matched by our suffering and sacrifice.

Can you smell the perfume of rage? We are coming to restore some of your terror, scum!

Leonardo is at the forefront of technological development and research in Europe, for example being repeatedly commended for its achievements in the field of aerospace engineering. The coincidence is not surprising since war and technical innovation have always been interconnected.

It is with technology that they ruin our lives, that they spy on us, that they drive us into misery. It is with developments in techno-science that aim to reshape the social fabric, making war possible. Let us strike at those responsible.

Let us call for an international campaign of action against the oligarchs who enrich themselves with war, the masters of energy and the techno-science and industrial sectors. Each with the means and methods they prefer, making their case or letting the facts speak for themselves.

We dedicate this action to Alfredo Cospito: remove our comrade from 41 bis or you will have to start washing the blood of the jailers.

No resignation, no truce, no peace. For international fraternity and revolutionary action.

We claim that the ATM sabotage action in the early hours of June 11 in Solo, Central Java and the vandalism in Sidoarjo, East Java were the individual actions of our conspirators.

Bristol, UK: Toby Shone speaks from the dungeons of Bristol prison, explaining his case. EN/ES/FR/DE/PO/RU/GR/IT

My name is Toby Shone, and I’m an imprisoned anarchist held in Bristol prison who was kidnapped at gunpoint by the anti-terrorist unit, as part of Operation Adream in the UK. The repression was aimed to target the anarchist group of critique and practice, 325 collective and the website 325.nostate.net. Operation Adream is an attack by the British State in conjunction with European partners against anarchist direct action groups, counter-information projects, prisoner solidarity initiatives and the new anarchist critique of the technological singularity and the fourth and fifth industrial revolution. Operation Adream is the first time that anti-terrorist legislation has been used against the anarchist movement in the UK.

I was taken hostage by the regime on the 18th of November 2020 by a team of tactical fire arms cops after a car chase through the remote Forest of Dean, which is on the border with South Wales, one hour north of Bristol. At the same time coordinated raids took place at five addresses in the Forest of Dean against collective living projects, hangouts and a storage unit. I was taken under armed guard to a nearby police station where I was held in incommunicado and interrogated many, many times. I refused to speak during the interrogations and I did not cooperate with the murderers in uniform.

I was charged with four counts of terrorism. One charge of Section 2, dissemination of terrorist publications as a suspected administrator 325.nostate.net. Two charges of section 58, possession of information useful for the purposes of terrorism. Those being two videos. One of which showed how to improvise an explosive shaped charge. And the other demonstrated how to burn down a mobile phone transmitter. I was charged with Section 15, funding terrorism, which was related to cryptocurrency wallets hosted on 325.nostate.net which were for the support of anarchist prisoners and publications. I denied all the charges.

I was also accused during the interrogations of membership of FAI/IRF, the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front. I was accused of writing five documents and carrying out several actions in the Bristol area, which were claimed by cells of the FAI as well as those of the Earth- and Animal Liberation Fronts. These included an incendiary attack against the police station, the burning down of a mobile phone transmitter and liberation of animals.

Bristol is an area of the UK where there has been countless anarchist sabotages and direct actions taking place over the last two decades and which remain unsolved by police, despite multi-million pound investigations and joint media witch hunts against anarchists in the city. Not long after beginning to write this text which intends to reaffirm our concrete and destructive internationalist anarchic solidarity, a brutal offensive in the territories of the Wallmapu began at the same time. The hitmen working for the companies with interests in the forests (in the province of Río Negro) assassinated a Mapuche commoner – Elías Garay -, and gravely injured another one. At the same time, far-right paramilitary groups from Bahía Blanca city, issued responsibility claims for grave attentats (against native groups); encouraging and foreshadowing more criminal acts. As if that wasn’t enough, the shit pro-fascist mass-media newspaper Clarín was attacked with molotov bombs, and now an “anarchist witch-hunt” has begun, with one arrest (so far) and in search of capturing another eight. Black storms are coming… It seems fitting of the surrealist tradition, that in the face of such a panorama, we insist on focusing on things that happen thousands of kilometers away…. But it just so happens that we’re capricious and inveterate like that, us anarchic ones: our fatherland is our feet; and we walk barefoot, but with the fury of an Ideal beating in revolt, in our black hearts.

I- Prologue

The light is better observed from the dark. To see the frame, it’s necessary to be outside the frame: Danilo is one of the four compas in the Brians I, CATALONIAN prison. Nothing to do with calling for a wild nocturnal manifestation. Their task was precisely that: demobilize, pacify… Hate and war against the CUPolice, compas.

II- Liberi tutti?

Not much imagination is required to have a simple vision of what the “separatist Catalonian left” intends to put in place in the territories they consider belong to them (?). There are too many coincidences between what they call Pandania in the north of Italy (Rome is a thief, say the ultra-rightists of the Liga Nord) and the “Espanya ens roba”, in the Barcelonian version. An uncomfortable truth, if there’s such a thing, is that for centuries, its imperialist bourgeoisie amassed immense fortunes by slaving thousands of Africans in the Caribbean and within the borders of the current metropolis, and big avenues and copious monuments are named after these aberrant families. La publicación en español y portugués de “Individualidad y grupo anarquista” del compañero Gerasimos Tsakalos (quien fuera parte de la Conspiración de Células de Fuego de Grecia), nos ha ofrecido la oportunidad de realizar una profunda revisión de su contribución, afianzando desde la praxis la cristalización del debate que da sustento a la Internacional Negra en estos días.

Han pasado seis años desde que Tsakalos lanzó su propuesta organizativa desde la cárcel, atravesando barrotes y muros, y burlando la vigilancia de sus verdugos en la prisión de Korydallos; y dos de que fue excarcelado junto a su hermano Christos. Durante este período hemos acumulado experiencias que podrían ser suficientes como para indicarnos qué cosas son susceptibles de ser modificadas o clarificadas hoy. Sin embargo, más allá del tiempo transcurrido, para cualquier anarquista informal e insurreccional que lea estas páginas, saltará a la vista un sinfín de contradicciones que difícilmente podemos suscribir desde la anarquía negra y el anarco-nihilismo que anima la tensión anárquica contemporánea, particularmente si buscamos darle respuesta a la pregunta que sirve de eje vertebral a su contribución: ¿La individualidad anarquista se encuentra subyugada o se mantiene libre al interior del grupo?

Chile: ‘The risks of multiformity’ – Words of anarchist prisoner Francisco Solar EN/ES

The search for freedom implies the attempt to establish and develop practices in that sense. Breaking with imposed directions, dogmas and predetermined schemes is essential in the construction of anti-authoritarian relations and in the strengthening of these.

Multiformity in terms of action (and not only) is circumscribed in this way of understanding and carrying out the struggle. It is an expression of freedom that denies singular rigid behaviors and ways of doing things, as well as encouraging imagination and autonomy.

It is also a rejection of specialization and specialists who, as we have seen, sooner rather than later become leaders who become enlightened vanguards. It was and is recurrent to see how the armed apparatuses that perpetrated significant actions became the leadership of an organization or the part of a movement that arrogated, through the use of arms, its representation, demonstrating a militarism that we are alien and contrary to.

On the other hand, the multiformity has managed to extend the propaganda in a considerable way. By means of banners, graffiti, incendiary barricades, explosives and gunfire, anarchic ideas have spread, finding spaces where they are welcomed and put into practice. This is where the importance of what has been called “reproducible actions” comes into play, generally associated with “small actions” that do not require greater risk or that would not entail the questioned prior specialization. “Reproducible actions” would have the advantage of being carried out by anyone, which would increase their possibility of extension, thus generating greater impact and/or effectiveness in achieving a given objective. Chile: Claim of explosive attack against ANEPE by ‘Autonomy Faction Cristián Valdebenito’

On the night of October 17, we installed an explosive device inside the headquarters of the National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies (ANEPE), on the eve of a new commemoration of the October revolt.

This partner in matters of State security and maintenance of public order carries out permanent academic activities aimed at police elements, in terms of intelligence, investigative and counterinsurgency strategies. It is a repressive body under the Ministry of Defense, which also shares knowledge internationally with States such as Spain, Colombia, Israel, etc.

Different academics of this den of Power have written about anarchic practices and tendencies, trying to analyze our ideas, dynamics and proposals, with texts of pretended studies about international projects (Black International/FAI-FRI) or the current panorama of our environments.

Héctor Barros, official on duty at the South Prosecutor’s Office, took intelligence and investigation courses at ANEPE, as did Gonzalo Blu, who was in charge of DIPOLCAR during the times of the so-called Operation Huracán, demonstrating that this site is only intended for the improvement of the police, judges and prosecutors, and not for “all Chileans” as they claim from this center. Barcelona: International Call for Direct Action against Catalunya

INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR DIRECT ACTION AGAINST CATALUNYA

Postcard Barcelona SUCKS! In the last years we have seen, from near and far, how the Catalan institutions have managed to continue selling an image of “inclusive city”; when it is an ultra-capitalist city that expels and mistreats its own population (not to mention the thousands of migrants who are sold at ridiculous prices, or are dragged into the vilest prostitution) in order to have something to eat. Colau is a fake who plays to establish pacts with the most aberrant powers, to exercise her second mandate as mayor. She skillfully negotiated with many squatted spaces -to legalize them- and thus reduce her refractory actions against the System. Unfortunately for us, the tactic has been successful: they have “tamed” us. The once called rose of fire only burns when interclassist nationalism orders it to do so. And there is no lack of sheep…

On February 27th, in the context of a demonstration (promoted by the most Stalinist and retrograde communist authoritarianism) they arrested a group of comrades, previously arrested by the organizers themselves – read Arran, the youth of the CUP – in a disgusting set-up, tending to blame “Italian anarchist insurrectionalists”, for the riots resulting from the imprisonment of the unclean rapper Pablo Hasel. We do not forget that it was an act of revenge for a previous set-up in Girona. The so-called ‘purge-of-Girona’ perpetrated by anti-anarchist groups to sweep out of their city those who did not conform to their political interests… Currently 6 of our people are still in prison, in the territory dominated by the Catalan pseudo-state.
