Bristol, UK: Toby Shone speaks from the dungeons of Bristol prison, explaining his case. EN/ES/FR/DE/PO/RU/GR/IT

My name is Toby Shone, and I’m an imprisoned anarchist held in Bristol prison who was kidnapped at gunpoint by the anti-terrorist unit, as part of Operation Adream in the UK. The repression was aimed to target the anarchist group of critique and practice, 325 collective and the website 325.nostate.net. Operation Adream is an attack by the British State in conjunction with European partners against anarchist direct action groups, counter-information projects, prisoner solidarity initiatives and the new anarchist critique of the technological singularity and the fourth and fifth industrial revolution. Operation Adream is the first time that anti-terrorist legislation has been used against the anarchist movement in the UK.

I was taken hostage by the regime on the 18th of November 2020 by a team of tactical fire arms cops after a car chase through the remote Forest of Dean, which is on the border with South Wales, one hour north of Bristol. At the same time coordinated raids took place at five addresses in the Forest of Dean against collective living projects, hangouts and a storage unit. I was taken under armed guard to a nearby police station where I was held in incommunicado and interrogated many, many times. I refused to speak during the interrogations and I did not cooperate with the murderers in uniform.

I was charged with four counts of terrorism. One charge of Section 2, dissemination of terrorist publications as a suspected administrator 325.nostate.net. Two charges of section 58, possession of information useful for the purposes of terrorism. Those being two videos. One of which showed how to improvise an explosive shaped charge. And the other demonstrated how to burn down a mobile phone transmitter. I was charged with Section 15, funding terrorism, which was related to cryptocurrency wallets hosted on 325.nostate.net which were for the support of anarchist prisoners and publications. I denied all the charges.

I was also accused during the interrogations of membership of FAI/IRF, the Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front. I was accused of writing five documents and carrying out several actions in the Bristol area, which were claimed by cells of the FAI as well as those of the Earth- and Animal Liberation Fronts. These included an incendiary attack against the police station, the burning down of a mobile phone transmitter and liberation of animals.

Bristol is an area of the UK where there has been countless anarchist sabotages and direct actions taking place over the last two decades and which remain unsolved by police, despite multi-million pound investigations and joint media witch hunts against anarchists in the city. Thessaloniki, Greece: The time has come for my roar to be heard – Denunciation of sectarianism by the Biologica haunt

It’s been some time that I wanted my anger to be heard. An anger that awaited for its moment, so that it can be ready to be released from within me. If this denunciation won’t bother everyone, it will bother most, if not then it will bother a few. And for many reasons that I won’t analyse!

I have been active in the anarchist / anti-authoritarian milieu in Thessaloniki since September ‘21 and I was not pleased by many things and generally they do not express me. Because, as Renzo Novatore wrote, “I am an individualist because I am an anarchist and I am an anarchist because I am a nihilist.”

Nevertheless, I did not fall into the trap of dogmatism, I did not stop my activity just because most collectives and squats do not represent post-left anarchy, pure negation, direct action and informalism. Whenever and wherever I could, I showed my solidarity in practice, from participating
in postering, to taking part in protests, and only out of personal desire because I was tired from complete isolation in Athens.

But some do not appreciate it and worse, they turn against me.

Since the announcement of the plans for the demolition of the Biologica haunt, I wanted to show my solidarity and support in this situation that the squat has come. I knew very well what had happened 9 years ago, but it wasn’t an obstacle in this particular action of mine, because I was not involved in the “civil war” 1 as I did not and will never hold a position in these past events, because nothing will change, as it would be stupid of me to maintain vendettas. I always look at the present, I only study the past when there is something useful for today!

The first open assembly in support of Biologica is announced and took place in SPS 2 . In short, before the assembly began, I was asked by a person (whom I do not know if they are from Biologica or from another collective that is housed in the haunt) to leave because I am not accepted,
because I am from the anarchist haunt of Nadir. I respected this request because I had no mood for fights and quarrels. I left SPS and then some comrades (not related to Nadir) left some minutes later dissatisfied by this request. Extract from the judicial declaration of anarchist comrade Francisco Solar taking responsibility for sending explosive packages to the 54th station of the carabineros [Federal Police of Chile] and against the former Minister of the Interior, Rodrigo Hinzpeter in July 2019, action claimed by “Cómplices sediciosos/Fracción por la Venganza” [Seditious Accomplices/ Vengeance Faction] and for the double attack on the Tánica building on February 27, 2020, in the midst of the revolt, action claimed by “Afinidades Armadas en Revuelta” [Armed Affinities in Revolt].

(…) In November 2017, our idea was to move away from the big cities, mainly Santiago, because of its frenetic way of life, and to start a self-sustaining project. Although I opted for that way of life, I did not stop thinking that the most appropriate way to fight against an overpowering system based on authority and predation is through violent revolutionary action. Only from this is it possible to achieve moments of destabilization that, even if they are fleeting instants, reveal the vulnerability of power

In the middle of 2018 I decided to start pursuing that kind of action (…) Once I made that decision I started to think about some target, being clear that if I was going to take a great risk, the action had to be powerful. I thought of carrying out an action as a response, as revenge against people linked to repression and business power. Both criteria were fully met by Rodrigo Hinzpeter, who in 2019 was manager of the Quiñenco group, whose president is Andronico Luksc. Hinzpeter had also been Minister of the Interior under the first government of Piñera, leaving a trail of repression that will be difficult to forget. He harshly repressed social and student mobilizations, trying to pass a law marked by prohibitions of all kinds, known as the Hinzpeter Law. As Minister of the Interior he was politically responsible for the murder of young Manuel Gutiérrez, harshly repressed the social mobilizations in Aysén and Freirina, militarized the Mapuche territory, resulting in hundreds being wounded, many of them children, and countless prisoners.

Santiago, Chile: Explosive attack against the National Directorate of Gendarmerie + Claim of “The Black Vengeance”

During the early morning of Monday, December 27, 2021, a loud bang shakes the center of the capital. An explosive device detonates against a window of the National Directorate of Gendarmerie, located on Rosas Street at the height of Teatinos.

GOPE personnel quickly arrived at the scene, and the South Prosecutor’s Office, which handles this type of crime, was present, entrusting the OS-9 and Labocar personnel with the investigation. According to the press, it was the Prosecutor’s Office itself which indicated the prohibition to inform and give more information. No pamphlets were found at the site.

Via email, the action is claimed by “La Negra Venganza”, which according to the text would be the same group that acted against a police station in 2020. The text details the use of industrial explosives, as well as ammunition in the explosive device, making an open call to expand this type of practice, to show solidarity with the prisoners and to expand the use of their name, and finally to greet other action groups.

Chile: Arson attack on forestry truck on Itata Route, Penco

During the early morning of December 20, an arson attack was carried out against a forestry truck in Ruta Itata, Penco, Bio Bio region. Due to technical complications it was not possible to issue this communiqué on the day of the action, however, the motivations of our actions remain more valid than ever, that is why we understand that the delay of this communiqué does not mean a problem, much less a limitation to communicate the reasons that fuel our attacks.

We claim this attack in response to the systematic looting and destruction carried out by forestry companies within the territory, which brings with it a visible devastation of the land.

In the first place, this action is framed in the context of the progressive advance of the mining project “Aclara” previously called Biolantanidos, who come to install themselves with a false discourse of development for the region, being directly responsible for the destruction of the territory, this action is supported by a capitalist system, which acts in complicity with the State of Chile, who have financed through CORFO this mining project since its beginnings. Thus manifesting the imposition of extractivist policies in pursuit of their economic interests, benefiting the business class who constantly attack the dignity of the people and the land. Nuremberg, Germany: Two transmission towers set on fire of the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office

On the night of Dec. 13, we set fire to two transmission towers of the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office in Nuremberg.

There are countless reasons to hate and attack the police.

The original task of the police is to maintain the social status quo. That is, police officers are paid to maintain an exploitative, racist, sexist economic and social system based on the exclusion of minorities. Their job is to defend the profit and supremacy of those powerful in this system against any attempt at change towards justice, equality, redistribution or environmental sustainability.

The police therefore share the ideology of inequality, in which FLINTA (Frauen (women), Lesbian, Intersex, Nonbinary, Transgender, and Agender), migrants, the poor or people with disabilities are worth less and can be systematically denied access to fundamental rights and equality. The police, by its very basic mandate, is necessarily to be located conservatively and politically on the right.

The police are ascribed, medially, politically and legally, a neutrality and expertise that never existed, which is supposed to enable them to objectively report on events or evaluate situations. In fact, it is a political actor that openly acts against its own enemy images (people who show deviant behavior or strive for social change and migrants) and is still granted interpretive sovereignty over its attacks.

In order to maintain the relations of domination, it is of enormous importance for the profiteers of capitalism, which is why the police are given more and more powers and means to use violence. It receives new weapons like tasers (NRW) or tanks and hand grenades (Bavaria) to use against its enemies. According to their own preferences, the police prohibit demonstrations or have events such as soccer matches postponed, arbitrarily take people into custody, or search and vandalize homes. Hamilton, Canada: Attack on Encampment Eviction Collaborators

Earlier this week a branch of Quantum Murray Environmental in Stoney Creek, Ontario had several of its windows smashed in the middle of the night. Quantum Murray is a construction company that specialized in dealing with industrial-scale environmental problems and infrastructure, but that has more recently gotten into the business of encampment evictions in Hamilton.

For anyone not paying attention, the past two years of covid pandemic have exacerbated problems of homelessness, addiction, and poverty in cities across the world, leading to a growth of encampments in urban parks and green spaces where people live in tents and makeshift structures. Though not an ideal solution, these encampments offer an alternative to the bloated, dangerous, and often dehumanizing shelter system, one that allows some autonomy over movement and safety. Many of us have welcomed these new neighbors, forming bonds of friendship and solidarity, sharing meals and resources. Others have sought to make their lives even more precarious, cold, and impossible. Most prominent among these are the Hamilton Police who have been parading from park to park evicting people with brute force. In some recent downtown evictions, as friends and neighbours stood up to the police and tried to stop this inhumane spectacle, we couldn’t help but notice the presence of a company called Quantum Murray that was helping to destroy and dispose of people’s possessions. And while our rage has been mainly focused on the politicians who create these brutal conditions, the police who enforce them, and the cold-hearted neighbours who can only think about property values, we left these altercations feeling a particular anger towards the QM workers who for some unspeakable reason have decided to ally themselves with this cause. While they should be out fixing cooling towers and dealing with industrial waste sites, instead they are here in these parks ripping apart tents and licking cop boots. There is no reason why Quantum Murray, a nation-wide company with no shortage of work, should spend its time attacking poor and working class people. Because that’s what an eviction is. It’s an attack. And so we attack back. We destroy your property, and send you a message that once you saddle up with shitheads of the world you get treated like one.

Just stop.

Go back to the cooling towers.

And next time your boss asks you to work overtime kicking poor people out of their homes on freezing cold nights, just go home. Call in sick. Call your union and tell them you’ve been asked to perform unsafe work. Do anything except spend your time evicting homeless people and destroying their tents.

More park evictions are planned for the coming days in Hamilton. Let this be a warning to eviction collaborators and a call to our friends to find our own ways to attack.

Grenoble, France: Revenge against the eviction machine, the racist city hall and its collabos

In response to the eviction of the Alliance Park camp and the closure of the camp site on rue des alliés, during the night of the 16th to the 17th, an Eiffage car was hit in its windscreen and a car-sharing Citiz car was set on fire.

At the alliance park, the city hall, the prefecture and their shitty cops did not hesitate to put dozens of people on the street and in even more precarious situations, destroying their tents with their belongings and papers inside. While it is less than 0 degrees every night.
It’s not a few poor nights in a hotel for the people that will redeem your image, you bunch of idiots.
The policy of not welcoming exiles in France and in Europe is tightening more and more.
How many more people will die?

Eiffage is helping to build CRAs, Citiz is helping Grenoble to become so smart city.
The greens are playing it green and progressive but they are just as filthy as the others.
Firing the undesirables, attracting investors and good French people, increasing control via smartphones with cars, scooters, car-sharing bikes. What a project.

Material and emotional solidarity with the exiles is important, but so is the offensive against the oppressors.

This communique is a call to put pressure on City Hall and its allies by attacking the equipment and the people who make this beautiful system work.

On the night of Monday, December 6 to Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in the Zinnergasse, we burned a public charging station for electric cars that belongs to Wiener Energie.

Transport is the artery of the economy.

We see this action as a contribution to the fight against the fourth industrial revolution, which wants to sell us green capitalism as something enviable.

The transformation of the basic propulsion of the economy, from fossil fuels to renewable energies, is only a modification of the exploitation of the earth and the oppression of human and non-human beings.

To think that the problems of this world can be solved by technology is a deeply patriarchal logic that must be destroyed!

Italy: Annulment of the measures of Operation Sibilla + communication by Alfredo Cospito

We learn with joy of the cancellation of all precautionary measures against the anarchists and anarchists affected by “Operation Sibilla. Following the statement of the comrades from Spoleto and a text by Alfredo Cospito, escaped the meshes of prison censorship:

Operation Sibilla: all precautionary measures cancelled

Today the news arrived that all the precautionary measures for the Sibilla repressive operation of November 11, directed in particular against the anarchist newspaper “Vetriolo”, were annulled by the court of re-examination which was held on December 14. Therefore, the obligations to sign and stay for three comrades, the house arrest for Michele Fabiani and the precautionary detention in prison for Alfredo Cospito, who remains imprisoned for the sentence to 20 years in the process Scripta Manent, have been cancelled.

The motivations will be known within 45 days. Without going into the merits of the courts’ paperwork, it seems that the wording “annulment” represents the maximum possible denial on a technical level of the accusatory hypotheses. In any case, whatever would have been the response of the judges, remains our firm perseverance in revolutionary anarchist propaganda, solidarity with the imprisoned comrades and the defense of anarchist publications. The repression does not surprise us: we knew that the recent convictions in the appeal process of Scripta Manent against the last edition of “Anarchist Black Cross” would be an infamous precedent.

We reiterate our solidarity with Alfredo, who this very investigation aimed to isolate and silence. A hug to Anna, Juan, Beppe, David and all the prisoners who do not lower their heads.
